Ever wonder where the word "Plumber" comes from?

It traces all the way back to Ancient Rome. Roman pipe workers were called plumbarii (from plumbum, the Latin word for lead), and they were so skilled and respected that the name stuck for centuries. The trade is literally older than the English language.
