STEP-UP, Incorporated A non-profit leading the Hampton Roads Region in assisting ex-offenders go to work, and, if they wish, regain their voting rights.

STEP-UP Staff provides pre-release training to inmates in local jails and Virginia Correctional Facilities. Subjects taught include finding employers, interviewing, how to keep a job, WOTC, Bonding, available resources, basic budgeting, reintegrating with family and community, and much more. After release, program participants are assisted in finding jobs, developing careers, getting into school, and finding resources such as housing, food, clothing, transportation, and other needs.
