The 2026 Police Unity Tour for Chapter VIII has officially begun!

Officers from across the nation will bike approximately 250 miles starting from Norfolk, VA to the Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, D.C.

This morning, Chapter VIII President Connie Patterson and Trustee Hugh Miller sent off our riders at the Scope.

Big congratulations to Melissa “Missy” Guadagnino on her promotion to Corporal! 🎉👏

For 12 years, Missy has been an incredible asset to UCFPD—nine of those as a Detective, where she’s made a major impact on high-profile investigations and forensic cases. With her therapy dog, Chipper 🐾, she’s also provided comfort and support to victims when they needed it most.

She’s also:
🚨 Served on the Emergency Response Team for dozens of deployments
👩‍🏫 Taught crisis intervention and patrol investigator programs locally and nationally
🚴‍♀️ Completed the Police Unity Tour four times

Missy’s compassion, leadership, and investigative expertise will shine in her new role in Community Outreach and Crime Prevention starting in the new year.
