✨ A panel discussion featuring SVAVA President Krishna Loya and AVA leaders from across Virginia
✨ Special guest Tage Counts, President & CEO of VOLUNTEER Hampton

This month’s meeting will include board officer elections and a presentation by Emily Bacalis, CVA (St. Mary’s Home), on Building Ambassador Skills: Teaching Your Volunteers the Elevator Speech. Learn how to craft a clear elevator speech and equip your volunteers to confidently share your organization’s mission.

Kick Off 2026 with SVAVA! Membership Meeting – January 8th

Join us at The Union Mission from 9:00-11:00 AM. We’ll meet in the Craig Center (Building #7). Parking is available right in front of the building.

🌟 Join Us Thursday, November 13th! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome ForKids for a special presentation on their incredible work to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families and children. They’ll also share how they partner with student volunteers to make a difference.

Plus, we’ll look ahead to 2026 — discussing open Board positions and gathering your ideas for future topics and speakers.

For tomorrow's meeting:

We will meet between 8:45-9:00 am at the Elephant Statue just outside the front gate. Once most people have arrived, we will be escorted to the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the administration building. An elevator is available.

Someone will remain at the statue for those arriving after 9:00 am.

Parking: There is plenty of space, just avoid Zone 1 and Zone 2.
