The Global Friendship House is a dorm style home and community for international students. How will they be treated?

Fully furnished Single rooms and Shared rooms ( for max 2 people) available for lease! More than 1,000 future national leaders from over 100 nations study at Old Dominion University (ODU). What impressions will they take home with them about this nation and the people who live here? Global Friendship Ventures and Global Student Friendship have been reaching international students at ODU for years

through services (like airport pick-up & furniture delivery) and activities (like FISH and welcome bus tours). The Global Friendship House (aka the Globe) is a caring, home away from home: a place to foster new relationships and help with practical, personal and spiritual needs. This house (located right next to the ODU campus) is a 24,000 square feet, 3-story residence and community center for 58 international students ( and some American students) and residential staff. Would you prayerfully consider becoming a part of the community? Though the house is financially self-sustained we still need a significant amount of money to complete the project. Last Saturday we had our first Global Brunch. We cooked delicious Eggs Benedicte with the help of a French, a Sri Lankan, a Brazilian and a Ghanese top chef. Our new espresso machine was initiated and we had meaningful brunch conversations about what defines our identity.

Next months brunch we'll continue with the same topic of identity, we can not wait to hear everyone's story!

During the week we study hard, but on the weekends we have some time to enjoy our friends! This is a greek dance that we learned last weekend! Danced by friends from all around the globe💃🕺

Pizza night at the Globe! With Greek dancing, taught by our Greek resident, Bollywood dancing by our brave Indian and Sri Lankan girls and karaoke songs in more than 15 languages!

Fall semester 2022 has officially started!! We welcomed our new Resident Life Managers, Joshua and Janne Coyle and all our new students. The house is full with 57 students from 24 nationalities!

We started the year by celebrating all august birthdays in the tradition of the country of origin. We are looking forward for this semester to be full of friendship, fun and the love of our Lord Jesus!
