Mid-America Working Terrier Association We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to preserve, protect, and work the Jack Russell Terrier. Terrier TRial, last weekend in June every year.

We host an annual trial in June where terrier owners can showcase their dogs' skills. We foster responsible ownership and training practices. in Norfolk, Nebraska!

Help Us Support Furbaby Rescue during the Mid-America Working Terrier Trials

This year at the Mid-America Working Terrier Trials, we’re excited to collect donations for Furbaby Rescue in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Furbaby Rescue does important work caring for animals in need, and we’d love to help stock them up with supplies they use every day. If you’re coming to the trials, please consider bringing an item or two to donate.

Requested items include:

Small pet beds
Mr. Clean liquid cleaner
Paper towels
Boxed rags
Fresh Step clumping cat litter
Medium/large Kongs
Cat toys
No-tip food dishes
Groomers Choice Berry Shampoo
Peroxide
Wholesomes brand medium dog biscuits
Tennis balls
Kuranda Beds, medium or large, metal frame with vinyl

We’ll have a collection area at the trials, and all donations will go directly to Furbaby Rescue.

We’re excited to welcome our friends from Colorado Earthdogs Inc. to the Mid-America Working Terrier Trials!

They’ll be bringing their Underland Tunnel for Friday fun runs, giving terriers and their people a great way to kick off the trial weekend. The tunnel features a clear side, so you can watch the dogs as they work their way through.

Join us Friday for some extra fun before the sanctioned trials begin!

Today is a great day to register for the Mid-America Working Terrier Trials!

Join us June 27–28, 2026, in Norfolk, Nebraska for two days of terriers, trials, competition, and community. From racing and go-to-ground to lure course, barn hunt, Super Earth, Underland Tunnel, conformation, and more, this is a weekend built for Jack Russell Terriers and the people who love them.

MAWTA is also proud to host the JRTCA Annual General Meeting in conjunction with this year’s trials, making it an extra special weekend for the Jack Russell Terrier community.
