NEW EPISODE! ✊🏿📚
Robert F. Williams challenged the idea that Black people should always “turn the other cheek.” He believed our communities had the right to defend themselves. His stance reshaped the conversation on resistance.

The fact that so many of us have never heard his name is not an accident. Williams’ story has been suppressed because it challenges the narrow version of history we’ve been given.

👉🏿 Watch. Reflect. Share.
Because when our truth is erased, so is our power.

NEW EPISODE! ✊🏿⚒️
Fresh off Labor Day, we’re lifting up A. Philip Randolph, the man who organized Black workers when many unions shut us out. He proved that labor is leverage and that racial justice and labor power go hand in hand.

As billionaires and corporations hoard wealth and power while families and communities struggle, Randolph's blueprint is not just history. It's instruction for how we fight for a life where our work allows us to thrive, not just survive.

👉🏿 Watch. Reflect. Share.
How do we use labor power to push back today?

Fred Hampton’s impact at just 21 shook the system. His ability to organize and inspire made him a target of the government but he remains unforgettable.

NEW EPISODE: The Black Panther Party

This episode of Roots and Routes of Black Resistance revisits a movement that challenged the system and redefined what community care could look like. Too often reduced to leather jackets and guns, the Black Panther Party was something far more powerful.

Their story offers a blueprint that can be revised for how we organize, protect, and build as we continue the fight for liberation today.

Watch. Reflect. Share and ask...What does true protection and self-determination mean in our time?

NEW EPISODE: Red Summer of 1919

When we hide the hard truths, we hand the next generation a broken picture of who we are and what we’ve overcome.

This week’s Roots & Routes of Black Resistance episode is one of those truths. It’s history that can feel heavy, but it’s also a story of courage and community.

When you share with children, start with questions like:
“Why do you think people sometimes hide the truth about history?”
“What can we learn from people who stand up for themselves and each other?”
“How would you protect your community?”

Watch together. Talk about it. Let them know that even in the hardest chapters, our people found ways to resist.

Watch now, and share so others can learn too.

NEW EPISODE! 🖊🔥

David Walker used his pen to shake the system.
This week’s Roots & Routes episode is narrated by CJ, who was in the 8th grade when he recorded and he delivered.

We say “words have power,” but are we using them like Walker did?

NEW EPISODE!

While most of today’s celebrities chase clout, Paul Robeson chose courage and community.

Narrated by Victor, our youngest voice, this episode of Roots & Routes reminds us what “not forgetting where you came from” really looks like and we respect that so much.

Watch. Reflect. Share.

Who’s earning your respect…and why?

NEW EPISODE!! 🏀🚫

This youth-narrated episode of Roots and Routes of Black Resistance explores how Craig Hodges used his platform to speak out against injustice and how the NBA shut him out for it. To this day, he has zero regrets, and we love that!

Do you think athletes should take a stand for justice?
Or should they just stick to the game?

Share this with the young athletes and sports fans in your life.
