We love hosting the BizConnect Hampton Roads Friday Member Meetup each year to tell Kim's story and how her mission continues to help those fighting a battle with cancer.

Our hearts were warmed by the turnout for the event and the generosity of BizConnect members. Several members have pledged donations during the month of October and upcoming months.

Thank you to Mid-Atlantic Domestic SUV for offering a discount on car repairs at their shop in October just by mentioning Paint Pink. They will in turn, match the amount of your discount as a donation to Paint Pink. And, while you are in their waiting room, you can admire one of Kim's paintings on the wall. 💗 Happy Birthday, Jo! 💗
Today we’re celebrating an incredibly special member of the Paint Pink family — Jo Ann Hughes!

Jo Ann was so much more than a board member to Kim. She was her friend, her partner in fun, and someone who shared Kim’s enormous heart for helping others. From the very beginning of Paint Pink, Jo Ann was there beside Kim, giving her time, energy, laughter and unwavering support.

When Kim passed, Jo Ann made a promise to her friend — to keep Paint Pink going and help carry on the legacy Kim built. She stepped into the role of President, leading with the same compassion, dedication and love for the community that Kim had, and she continues that commitment today.

We are incredibly grateful for all the hard work, countless hours and heart Jo Ann has given to Paint Pink over the years. And just as importantly, we are so lucky to have her as a friend. She is deeply loved by this board and such an important part of the Paint Pink family.

Jo, we know Kim would be so proud to see you continuing what you both worked on together. We hope you know how much you mean to all of us!

POSTPONED: 3rd Annual Paint the Block Pink - Brunch Block Party & Art Walk.

We are sad that we won't see you today due to the potential rain but we are excited that we will still be honoring and remembering Kim Keene on Saturday, November 7 at the 3rd Annual Walk A Mile, Save A Smile in memory of Kim Keene.

We will combine the Block Party and the Walk for even more fun. This means you can register for the 1-mile walk and get brunch, participation in the walk, the after party, lunch, and more.

There will also be new Paint Pink merchandise, a sale on old merch, and Kim's prints for purchase.

We have some bad news and some good news... first the bad news, the weather isn't going to cooperate for the 3rd Annual Paint the Block Pink - Brunch Block Party & Art Walk. It's supposed to be raining all day on Sunday and not good for an outdoor block party and art walk.

The good news, we've decided to merge the event with the Walk a Mile, Save a Smile event on November 7. That means double the fun.

There will be a one mile walk for Kim, brunch bites, after party, lunch, silent auction, and more.
