d dedicated support, from the City of Norfolk Economic Development Dept to qualifying startup businesses and expanding enterprises. Moreover, this innovation district fosters collaboration and connections among entrepreneurs who share similar aspirations and provides a wealth of resources and desirable amenities within its closely-knit community.

Big moves for the future of mobility in Hampton Roads.

Newport News has secured a $3M grant to launch the Hampton Roads Mobility Innovation Center, a major step toward growing the region’s role in aviation, aerospace, and uncrewed systems development. The initiative will support research, testing, workforce training, and next-generation transportation technologies.

From maritime to aerospace, innovation across the 757 continues to accelerate and investments like this help position Hampton Roads as a leader in emerging technology industries.

Memorial Day means something a little deeper in a community like ours.

Here in Coastal Virginia, service and sacrifice are part of everyday life. We live alongside military families, veterans, active duty service members, and those who carry the memory of loved ones who never made it home.

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and remember the sacrifices made by so many families in our community and beyond. Their legacy will never be forgotten.
