Last fall, while COVID-19 cases peaked statewide, Norfolk had some of the highest case rates not only in the state but the entire country. Four months later, just like many other Nebraska cities, local leaders are focusing on vaccine rollout and want all eligible residents to sign up.

The City of Norfolk is hosting a vaccine information and registration event at the library from noon to 7 p.m.

The Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program makes available $158 million to assist Nebraska low-income households that are unable to pay rent or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ELVPHD is still looking to fill COVID vaccine appointments in Oakland for those AGE 80 AND OVER this Saturday. Call 402-313-9048 SOON to schedule. Appointments will fill up fast.

We ask for the public's cooperation in following the age guidelines. Anyone not fitting the eligibility criteria of age 80+ will be turned away at the door. Anyone not from Burt, Cuming, Stanton or Madison Counties will not be permitted. No walk-ins will be accepted.

If eligible, you can also sign yourself or your loved one up online.
