TCC congratulates Dr. Andrea Palmisano, recipient of the prestigious Dale P. Parnell Faculty Distinction Recognition from the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC)—an honor celebrating educators who make a lasting impact in the classroom. Dr. Palmisano was recognized at the AACC annual conference in Seattle, where Dr. Marcia Conston, member of the AACC Board of Directors, was in attendance to show her support.

Known for her student-centered approach, Dr. Palmisano creates inclusive, innovative learning environments that remove barriers, foster belonging, and empower students to achieve their goals. “I was honored to receive such recognition and so grateful to have Dr. Conston by my side!” she shared. Dr. Palmisano also serves as faculty advisor for the student psychology club, Psi Chi Phi, and was previously honored with the 2025 Virginia's Community Colleges Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence at the last New Horizons Conference.

This national recognition reflects her dedication to teaching excellence and TCC’s commitment to student success.

• Take photos at our photo booth
• Enjoy snacks and games
• Celebrate with fellow graduates

Graduation regalia can be purchased at the Grad Fairs, online, or only at the VA Beach Bookstore until April 8, 2026
