Trash today, Recycling Saturday.
All City of Norfolk Government offices and facilities, including Norfolk Parks and Recreation centers, Norfolk Public Library branches and The Slover, will be closed TODAY, Wednesday, Jan. 22. This includes MacArthur Memorial, The Virginia Zoo, Nauticus and Norfolk Botanical Garden as well as the Norfolk Courthouse.
Waste Management collections will operate on a delay and attempt to service routes. If your bin is not collected, please leave the bin at the curb.
Bulk waste and yard waste collections scheduled for today will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 25.
TFC Recycling, the City’s recycling contractor, will postpone today’s collections until Saturday due to road conditions.
Norfolk Cares is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Residents are advised to submit requests to Norfolk Cares via mobile app, online at www.mynorfolk.org or by calling (757) 664-6510.
Residents are asked to stay off the roads, if possible, so crews can operate and emergency vehicles can respond without interference.
