Harbor’s Edge has been named the #1 senior living community in Hampton Roads by U.S. News & World Report, a recognition reflective of what matters most to our residents and their families.

Out of 566 communities across Virginia, only 2.8% earned a rating and Harbor’s Edge is number one in the Hampton Roads region.

The ranking is based on surveys from residents and their families, evaluating key factors including:
Quality of caregiving
Resident safety and peace of mind
Engagement, activities, and social connection
Responsiveness of staff and leadership
Dining, value, and overall experience

According to U.S. News and World Report, communities recognized as “Best” are those that deliver the highest level of satisfaction and create a genuine community and exceptional lifestyle. This distinction is especially meaningful because it reflects the lived experiences of our residents and their families.

Wow! What a great turnout we had at the APDA Virginia Optimism Walk on Saturday. Currently, we've raised $46,000 and are just $4,000 away from reaching our goal of $50,000!
There's still time to donate, so click the link below to support this cause by August 1st. We were able to raise $12,900 more than last year, and our Harbor's Edge teams raised $6,270 in total.
Our top fundraising teams are The HE RAC Pack with $2,053 and The Divine 9's with $1,853! 138 people attended this year's walk (even with the rain), and 47 of our community members from Harbor's Edge participated.
We were so happy to be a part of this Optimism Walk and support the American Parkinson Disease Association. See you next year!

Presenting the inaugural Pickleball Tournament: Harbor's Edge v. Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay! The Harbor's Edge team won the tournament, coming out victorious in 10 of the 12 rounds.
Great job to all the players. Win or lose, the best part about this tournament is the fun we get to have with our friends from Westminster!

The APDA Virginia will host its annual American Parkinson Disease Association Virginia Optimism Walk in Norfolk as part of a nationwide movement to raise awareness and critical funds for the Parkinson’s Disease community.
The Walk will take place on Saturday, May 2, at Plum Point Park, beginning in front of Harbor’s Edge Community.
