What? Suprise Album Drop? On a Casual Friday?

That's Right! Our full album, Sound of the Sun, with Multi-GRAMMY award winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis , is now available for streaming! This album delivers the songful melancholy of the Mahler songs, played by Marsalis, combined with the frenetic energy and evocative imagery of Sally Beamish Music ’s two rarely heard works, brought to center stage.

Recorded in December 2021 as part of Eric Jacobsen's first concerts with the VSO as Music Director, we are so happy to release this album as our grand finale to the celebration of his fifth season with us.
