Rise Collective Norfolk

Rise Collective Norfolk We create belonging, spend time in contemplation, and elevate well-being in our communities We are doubting believers and questioning seekers.

We are old and young, single, married, partnered, and divorced. Retired or overworked, houseless, business owners, poor, rich, undocumented. We are gay, straight, trans and q***r. We are Black, Latinx, Indigenous, AAPI and White. We are atheists, agnostics, spiritual, and from diverse spiritual backgrounds. We are skinny and fat, able bodied and mobility aid users. We are inked and pierced and

afraid of needles. We are in recovery and still addicted. We believe in the power of contemplation. We come together with a shared goal of community action. We are dedicated to service of one another and our world. We choose curiosity over certainty. We recognize the need for healing self-care. We believe you belong here.

You’re invited 🌿

Join us as we gather in community in a gentle space to explore what it means when life feels uncertain or “too much.”

We’ll share, listen, and practice naming what’s true within us… no fixing, just being.

✨ Come as you are

We’d love to have you with us at 101 N 4th St at 10:30am on Sunday April 12th!

🌅 Rise Collective Family!

You’re invited to a special Easter Sunrise Gathering this Sunday at 6:30 AM in the courtyard at Trinity Episcopal Church (enter through the doors at 111 S. 9th Street).

We’ll gather around a fire outside so dress warmly! Chairs and coffee will be provided

In the spirit of the Easter story, we’ll take time for contemplation and storytelling. Together, we’ll hold space for:
✨ Our stories of grief (personal, national, and worldwide)
✨ Our stories of “birthing hope”

You’re welcome to bring a poem, reading, story, or song that gives you hope or simply bring a curious and open heart as we reflect on how we stir the embers of hope in our lives ❤️

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll still gather inside at 111 S. 9th.

(And if you feel like bringing coffee cake or donuts, we won’t stop you 🍩😉)

Hope to see you Sunday!

This Sunday February 22nd is 4th Sunday and we will be contemplating Chapter 7 and Jeremiah’s Alchemy of Tears: how we learn universal sympathy and grace. For extra enjoyment you can listen to the corresponding podcast and if you aren’t able to look at either, we’d just like to see your face! See you at 10:30!

If you are curious and have come to see, if you are tired and have come to rest, if you are grateful and have come to share, if you are journeying and have come to grow, if you are wounded and have come to heal, if you are joyful and have come to shine, welcome.

Join us this Sunday, January 12th, at our Community Contemplative Hour at 10:30 am. We will meet at 101 N. 4th St with coffee and breakfast treats.
