Looks like my people have been busy cleaning out closets and gathering donations - and whew, it just makes my heart smile!💜

To everyone supporting me, loving me, and helping me pour back into others who are where I once was (or facing even tougher situations)….thank you! This is bigger than clothes- this is community, compassion, and showing up for one another.

For my Georgia supporters: I have availability this Saturday for meet-ups!
For my Montgomery supporters: I’ll be available this Sunday early afternoon after church.

Happy Friday!!!! 💜

I’m sitting here at my desk, knocking out a few bills and putting my weekend to-do-list, and I know I can’t be the only one doing the same right now!

I am overly excited and truly overwhelmed in the best way by the response to our donation drive!
For my local Georgia supporters, I have a little more wiggle room and will be available to meet on any Saturday- Monday. If you know me personally and have my number, feel free to call or text. If not, my Messenger is always open!
To my Montgomery supporters, I will be in the city twice before Mother’s Day- the weekend of the 25th and again on May 2nd - so we can definitely coordinate then.
From the bottom my heart, thank you all for showing up, supporting the mission, and believing in the work we’re doing. I can’t wait to continue making a difference and creating impact on behalf of Survivor In Me Foundation Inc. 💜

Now that Easter is behind us, up next…Mother’s Day 💐

This holiday holds a special place in my heart for so many reasons. I lost my mother at the age of 10, and Mother’s Day is also the day I was released from the hospital after being shot. It’s a reminder of both loss and survival…and most importantly, gratitude. I’m beyond thankful that I’m still here, able to experience motherhood and share life with my three beautiful daughters 💕💕💕.

With that being said, I need your help, and now the perfect time.

As you begin switching out your wardrobe, packing away fall and winter clothes and bringing out those spring and summer pieces, please keep Survivor In Me Foundation Inc. in mind.

We are currently accepting gently used clothing donations here locally in Georgia, as well as on an upcoming Sunday in Montgomery, AL. All donations will be given to a local women’s resource center on behalf of the foundation to support women in need.

Spring is in the air 🌺 ✨ as the weather warms up, flowers bloom, and the birds begin to sing, we are springing into action right here in our community!

Stain On My Fence is hosting a Sip, Paint, & Chat event- and guess who’s doing some of the chatting? Me, of course! 💜

Welcome April 💜

A new month brings new opportunities for healing, growth, and transformation. At Survivor In Me Foundation Inc., we recognize April as a time to continue standing in strength, reclaiming our voices, and walking boldly in our truth.

For many, the journey through domestic violence doesn’t end when the situation does, it’s a daily commitment to healing, self-love, and rediscovery. This month, we honor every survivor: those who are still finding their way, those who are rebuilding, and those who are using their stories to uplift others.

Let April be a reminder:
💜 You are worthy of peace
💜 You are deserving of love
💜 Your past does not define you
💜 Your voice matters

Together, we will continue to spread awareness, provide support, and create safe spaces where survivors can rise, unapologetically and unafraid.

14 years ago today, I woke up thinking it would be just another normal day….never knowing that by the end of that night, my life would be forever changed.

There are moments that split your life into “before” and “after “…and that was mine.

Out of everything I ever imagined for myself, domestic violence was never part of the plan. Yet for 14 years, I’ve carried the weight of that night in ways words still struggle to fully explain. The guilt… the embarrassment… the fear… the silence… all of it tried to break me. And for a long time, I felt broken.

But somewhere in the middle of that pain, I found something I didn’t know I had…resilience.

I am not the woman I use to be. Life doesn’t look the same anymore. But truthfully… I thank God for that. Because the woman I am today is stronger, wiser, more compassionate, and more aware of her worth.

Spiritually, the number 14 represents balance, harmony, transformation, growth, and freedom with responsibility. And I feel every bit of that. Because my life is no longer defined by what happened to me, but by how I chose to rise from it.

Domestic violence may have been a chapter in my story…but it was never the ending.

And for that…I am forever grateful. 💜💜💜

Saturday poured back into me in a way my soul truly needed 💜

Domestic Violence was never part of my plan…but it was part of God’s purpose for my life. In the beginning, I carrie guilt, shame, fear, and emotions I didn’t even have the words for. But look at me now- walking in healing, strength, and resilience that only comes from doing the work and trusting the joy.

Over 10 years ago, I found hope by listening to T’Sharin. And today, I stand on the other side- being the same light for others. Providing hope. Sharing resources. Offering a safe space and a listening ear. Empowering through my truth.

This is what transformation looks like.
This is what purpose feels like.
