Every day, we discover signs of God’s presence. This week we are encouraged by the visit of dear friends that are spending a week in Guatemala to strengthen partnerships, to dive into deep conversation, sharing God’s love and assisting in times of difficulties. Thank you, Atlanta friends and Suwanee Worship Center, for your time and willingness to “come and see”. Enjoy the journey!

We continue to highlight what community means to organizations like Corazón de Mujer (Woman's Heart). A long-time friend of CEDEPCA, we have learned a great deal from them about community, resilience, and teamwork. They are women who have overcome obstacles through mutual support and, above all, by sharing their knowledge and life experiences. Have you visited the Corazón de Mujer group?

Community is what unites us, nourishes us, and fosters diversity among us. At CEDEPCA, we have learned that each community has its own experiences, wisdom, and capabilities that have enriched our work.

Each community teaches us, guides us, and creates hope.

“This group is unlike anything else. I feel inspired, and I feel that the scenes we practice enrich our lives and help us make a difference; it’s like a vitamin boost for our spirituality. My prayers are for this group and for CEDEPCA to be here and support us,” shares Petrona Tiul (Izabal) of Faith Stories, Guatemala group.
For 20 years, three groups—the First Presbyterian Church of Wi******er, VA, the Theater Company Looking for Lilith, and Faith Stories—have walked together, fostering spaces to share life stories, and promoting a meaningful impact in communities and churches.
Congratulations, friends and sisters!
May you continue dreaming and working for a better world.

“We come across books just as we do the magical islands in stories—not because someone takes us by the hand, but simply because they cross our path. That is what reading is: arriving unexpectedly at a new place.” (Gustavo Martín Garzo, Elogio de la Fragilidad)

Today we celebrate the Book Day in Guatemala. Reading is essential for promoting and recognizing this tool for learning and culture. We read to enrich our lives, to become more empathetic, and to discover new ways of seeing life. In intercultural Encounters we have a few suggestions. Have you read them? What book has had an impact on your life, and would you recommend to us? We hope to read you in the comments section.

A warm welcome to our friends from the Presbytery of Albany! Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey of visits that will strengthen our relationships of fellowship. Thank you for coming, for walking alongside us, and for encouraging us in the mission we share.

As part of our educational process, CEDEPCA staff visited the Museum “House of Memories", a space that invites us to remember and reflect on the history we have lived as a country. This exercise of memory calls us to recognize ourselves and to better understand one another through our diverse experiences. Learning these stories is essential to making sense of our own journeys and strengthening our collective identity. It was a meaningful experience that encourages us to continue recognizing ourselves.

Continuous training is essential to strengthen the professional development of those who accompany intercultural encounters, as it enhances communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability. These learning processes, create more meaningful spaces where relationships are deepened and learning becomes more impactful, fostering respectful, thoughtful, and transformative exchanges for all participants. We are grateful for the wonderful team of interpreters that accompany us in this beautiful journey!
