The Cub Scout program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is designed to help young boys and girls develop strong character, learn leadership skills, and participate in fun and exciting activities. The program is divided into different ranks, each with its own set of requirements that the Cub Scout must complete to advance. The ranks, in order, are Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos. Each rank has a specific set of age-appropriate activities and achievements, ranging from learning basic outdoor skills and completing service projects to earning badges and participating in leadership opportunities. Through these requirements, Cub Scouts are encouraged to develop self-confidence, independence, and a strong sense of community.
