We did it! Over 100 pillowcases made in one day- actually 111 in total. Every pillowcase will be paired with a new pillow, donated by the WELCA of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cogswell. Thanks to those who came and sewed! These will be donated to area domestic violence shelters in the area. in the area. Nome Schoolhouse

Are you ready? The Handspinners conference starts in TWO days! Come as early as noon Friday, and organized activities will start at 3 pm. Stay up late if you want! Saturday opens at 7:30 with breakfast at 8 am. Bring your projects, your creativity and your sense of fun because it will be a great time. See you at the Nome Schoolhouse

Give back this holiday season! Join us November 15 at the Nome Schoolhouse for a Pillowcase Party! Join us to support local domestic violence shelters! Our goal is to sew 100 pillowcases in a day, which will be matched with 100 pillows from the Nazareth Lutheran Church of Cogswell. Bring your own working sewing machine, pressing board, irons and let's make the holidays special for those in need.

Fabric will be provided, but if you have fun fabric you are willing to donate, please bring it. You will need a minimum of 1 yard to create a pillowcase.

Donations will go to local domestic violence shelters including the Kedish House - serving the counties of Dickey, Sargent, LaMoure, Logan, and McIntosh.

Cost for the day is just $10, which includes a soup and salad lunch. The remaining costs will be paid by the Nazareth Church.

This event is being sponsored through proceeds from the Nazareth Lutheran WELCA Garden Party. This Garden Party is held annually in Cogswell, ND to raise funds for supporting local needs.
