I am reaching out to Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and other Mental/Behavioral Health professionals to gauge interest in collaborating to help develop a newly established faith-based Clinical Training Institute in the Killeen area in response to the recent announcement below.

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), alongside HUD and ONDCP, launched the "Treatment First" Best Practices Toolkit in August 2026.

Page 9 of the toolkit states: Integration of faith and medicine. Incorporate spiritual support to complement evidence-based treatment and bolster the process of long-term recovery. Faith-based organizations are essential contributors to the “whole-of-community” approach, helping to provide a sense of hope and strengthening engagement.

Capacity development strategies include "Intentionally integrating secular and faith-based institutions to expand recovery supports and reinforce values-based healing".
