Sandra Moraga: How Education Became Her Path to Purpose, Leadership, and a Sustainable Future
Returning to school later in life can be intimidating due to increased responsibilities and time constraints. For Sandra Moraga, however, education became a pathway to reinvention and leadership. As a Communities Specialist for the Hermosa Project with South32, Sandra focuses on building transparent relationships with local stakeholders and ensuring community voices are heard. Her journey to higher education was not straightforward; although she enrolled at the University of Arizona, she couldn’t complete her degree initially.
After gaining valuable work experience with the City of Nogales and UniSource, Sandra recognized that lacking a degree limited her opportunities. Driven by determination, she returned to school in her mid-20s and earned three bachelor’s degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, and Psychology.
Working as an educational advocate alongside former Santa Cruz County School Superintendent Alfredo Velasquez, she witnessed how education can change lives. Read more @ https://bordereco.com/
