This is not an easy post for us to write.
This week, our community is grieving the loss of a young life. While we did not know this student personally, the weight of this loss is deeply felt—especially in a place that already knows this kind of heartbreak.
When we created Foundation Fifteen, it was born from unimaginable loss after losing our son, and from a desire to make sure no one feels alone in their pain. We never want another family, another group of friends, or another school to experience this kind of grief—but when it happens, we believe it’s important to come together in compassion and support.
To everyone who is hurting right now—family, friends, classmates, teachers—you are in our hearts. Please don’t carry this alone.
If you or someone you love is struggling, reach out. Talk to someone you trust. Connection matters, and help is available.
We will continue to show up for this community in any way we can, honoring every life by encouraging conversation, support, and hope.
Please take care of yourselves and each other.
