🚨 IMPORTANT COMMUNITY NOTICE: UNEXPLAINED CAT DEATHS 🚨
We have recently seen a high number of unexplained cat deaths in our area. Chief Holcomb, Nocona Police Department our local vets Cross Timbers and Carpenters are all actively working with us to investigate the cause and find out what is going on.
To help us pinpoint the issue, we need your assistance immediately:
1. Report Active Symptoms or Recent Deaths
If you see any outdoor cats displaying the following symptoms, or if a cat passes away, contact the Nocona Police Department right away so the animal can be collected as evidence and tested:
Wobbling or loss of balance
Refusing to eat
Seizures
2. Share Past Information (Last 2 Months)
If you have lost a cat or have a cat go missing within the last two months, please comment below with the following details (no exact addresses needed):
The approximate date it occurred
The street name where it happened
The number of cats lost or currently missing

We are tracking both the total numbers and the specific areas to determine what we are battling. Together, we can figure this out and protect our neighborhood animals. Thank you for your help!

🚨 **URGENT: KITTENS IN CRITICAL NEED OF A NURSING MOM OR EXPERIENCED BOTTLE FEEDER** 🚨
We have a 24-hour-old litter of four fragile kittens who desperately need immediate help. They have no mother and need a miracle right now.
We are looking for:
* **A nursing mother cat** with a small litter who might accept four more babies.
* **An experienced bottle feeder** who can take them on immediately (they require round-the-clock feeding every 2–3 hours).
Time is absolutely of the essence for these sweet babies. If you can help, or if you know a rescue/foster who has a nursing queen available, please **send a direct message immediately**.

We really have no idea what’s happening with the cats being found dead. It could be something environmental, illness?? Hateful humans. Be we are so sorry for everyone grieving over loss of the cats they cared for.

To make the biggest impact with our current funding, we are focusing our TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) efforts strictly within Nocona city limits. While we are busy managing several active colonies, we’re here to support you with traps, advice, and resources. No one person can solve this alone, but as a community, we can!
