🇵🇦 PRAY FOR PANAMA 🙏💜

On Friday, October 9, Panama was struck by a powerful 7.5-magnitude earthquake, damaging homes, displacing families, and leaving communities in urgent need. On Monday, October 12, another strong 6.4-magnitude aftershock shook the region.

As of the evening of October 13, 491 aftershocks had been reported since Friday’s earthquake, according to SismoLive Panamá, which monitors data from seismic agencies. Seismic activity continues.

Behind these numbers are families dealing with damaged homes, uncertainty, and the fear of another earthquake. For many, especially children, each new tremor brings renewed fear and anxiety.

💜 David’s Well is raising funds to purchase and deliver much-needed supplies, including water, food, baby and adult diapers, hygiene products, milk for children, and blankets to families affected by the earthquake.

Please join us in praying for their safety, peace, comfort, and strength, as well as for those working to help their communities recover. We also pray that those who do not know Jesus may come to know Him and find hope in Him.

Together, we can share the love of Christ by praying, giving, and helping those in need. 💜

A huge thank you to Eric, one of the incredible members of the team who came to Panama last week to serve alongside us.

He put together this amazing video that captures the journey—from departure to life in the Ngäbe-Buglé region, where our teams build homes, serve families, share God’s love, and build lasting relationships.

We’re so grateful for Eric and the entire team. Their servant hearts, willingness to work hard, and love for the people of Panama were such a blessing. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. We hope this video gives you a glimpse of what God is doing through this ministry. ❤️🇵🇦

A week of so much adventure in the Lord. ❤️

Long days, full hearts, and countless moments spent serving side by side with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We laughed, prayed, worked, worshiped, and gave of ourselves with joyful hearts. There is something so beautiful about setting aside comfort to love others well and watching God move in the middle of it all.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — John 13:35

What a gift it is to serve together, heart to heart, for His glory. May we continue to live with open hands, willing hearts, and lives fully surrendered to Him. 🇵🇦❤️

A little rain didn’t stop the joy. 🌧️❤️

The first photo was taken just a little while ago here at the Island. The rest of these moments take you back a couple of hours as our team arrived at the bunkhouse with full hearts after another incredible day.

You can see it in every smile as they stepped off the boat. The rain was simply part of the adventure.

Right now, they’re gathered for one of our favorite parts of the day: devotionals and sharing the stories of who we are, where we’ve come from, and how God has led each of us to this place. These moments of reflection remind us that while homes are being built, God is also doing incredible work in every heart.

The impact of this week reaches far beyond the walls we’re raising. 🇵🇦❤️

Yesterday was a day we’ll never forget.

Children’s Bibles were placed into little hands—some receiving a Bible for the very first time. We also had the privilege of giving a Bible to the local school leader. More on this beautiful moment coming later.

What a gift it is to share God’s Word. Please pray that every Bible opened will lead hearts to know and follow Jesus.

We’re so thankful for this incredible team and for the beautiful partnership God has given us to serve together. ❤️📖

Monday brought more than new walls for a home. It brought smiles through VBS, moments of fellowship, and opportunities to build lasting relationships with the families and community we came to serve. ❤️🏡

This week, our team began the journey from the United States to Panama—flying into Panama City, traveling on to David, Chiriquí, then continuing by bus and finally by boat to the remote community they’ll call home for the week.

Over the next several days, they’ll be building five new homes, leading Vacation Bible School, and sharing the love of Christ with the families they meet along the way.

These photos also offer a glimpse of the work completed back in March, when an incredible team from White River Christian Church partnered with us to build the first five homes in this community. What started then is continuing now, and we’re thankful to see God using so many willing hands to make a lasting impact.

Building a church is about so much more than concrete, lumber, and tools.

While work continued on the new church building in Tolay, our team from Stroh Church of Christ also spent time doing the work that matters most—building relationships and sharing the hope of Jesus.

From laughing through games with the children to teaching Bible lessons, worshiping together, and getting to know the families who call this mountain community home, these moments are just as important as the construction itself.

The new building will provide a place for this church to gather for years to come. But the Gospel, the encouragement, and the friendships shared during the week are what truly leave an eternal impact.

We’re thankful for every conversation, every smile, every prayer, and every opportunity to serve alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is what mission work is all about—building up both the Church and the people who make it up. ❤️🇵🇦
