HAND’s Trivia Night presented by Merchants Bank IN is coming up November 5, and we’ve got some pretty great prizes up for grabs!

Our Downtown Indy Staycation includes an overnight stay at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, valet parking, dinner for two at The Eagle’s Nest and two tickets to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra!

We’ll also have Indiana Pacers tickets, the ever-popular YETI cooler, our city-themed baskets filled with local favorites and experiences, and so much more!

Some moments are worth celebrating a little longer!

We're still smiling about the opening of Home Place Duets, our newest community in Carmel!

On September 29, we welcomed partners, supporters and neighbors to tour the six new three-bedroom homes and celebrate what we accomplished together.

From the people who helped make these homes possible to the families who will soon call them home, this is what our work is all about.

It’s MIBOR’s REALTOR® Action Day! 🏡

Our workday has just wrapped up! It rained this morning, and it’s chilly, but that didn’t stop this dedicated group from making a difference at Cumberland Cottages today.

A big thank you to the volunteers who chose HAND for their service project. This is just part of the group that joined us!

Special thanks to Tiffany Lawn & Garden Supply, Inc. for donating the first 5 yards of Planters Mix to refresh our garden beds!

We’re grateful for our community partners who help keep our properties looking their best!

Tipton came to play! Now we’re calling on the rest of our communities.

We’re shaking up the raffle at HAND’s Trivia Night this year with a little hometown competition!

We’re putting together a basket for each community HAND serves of local favorites, and guests will decide the winner with their raffle tickets. The more tickets a basket gets, the closer that community gets to bragging rights!

Tipton is already setting the bar. Who’s going to give them a run for their money?

Want to help your hometown compete? We’re still collecting gift cards, experiences and other local favorites for the baskets.

And every ticket sold helps HAND create and preserve affordable housing in the communities we call home.

🏚️👻 HAND has gone HAUNTED!

We’re having a spooktacular time at Ascension St. Vincent Fishers Trunk or Treat for Special Needs and Disabilities!

Our team traded housing development for haunted house construction, and we’re having so much fun welcoming trick-or-treaters of all ages and abilities! 🎃🍬

We’re grateful to be part of an event that makes Halloween fun and accessible for everyone.

Ten years. Two HANDfuls. One Andrea. 🙌

Over the weekend our Executive Director, Andrea Davis, marked 10 years with HAND!

You may have heard her called “Andrea HAND” or “HANDrea.” When your name starts merging with the organization’s, you know you’ve made an impression.

She’s our housing expert, our problem solver and the glue that holds it all together. For a decade, she’s brought people together and kept complicated projects moving so more neighbors have a place to call home.

Andrea, we’re grateful for your leadership, your heart and everything you bring to HAND.

It took a community to build this community. 💙

Home Place Duets may be six new homes, but getting to opening day took a lot of people working together.

Thank you to H•E Homes, our custom home builder, for the care and craftsmanship they brought to these homes; Inherent Commercial LLC, our owner’s representative; and Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., our engineer.

Thank you to the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority, Hamilton County, Indiana Community Development Block Grant program and Lake City Bank for the investment that helped make Home Place Duets possible.

And thank you to our partners at Prevail, Inc and Family Promise of Hamilton County. Their role doesn’t end with opening day. They are helping connect families with these homes and will continue walking alongside them with services and support.

Opening day had some special community touches, too. Thank you to OneZone Chamber for helping us make the ribbon cutting official, and to the Clay Township Trustee’s Office for providing parking for our guests. The Lydia Circle at Carmel United Methodist Church shopped for and assembled welcome baskets for our future residents, and Blue Sun Bakery in Noblesville made the cookies our guests enjoyed during the celebration.

Thank you to Brosmer Photographic for capturing the day, and to everyone who joined us to celebrate, toured the homes, supported this project or played a part in getting us here.

Creating more housing options takes funding, expertise, partnerships and people willing to work together.

Home Place Duets is what that collaboration can look like. 💙

Six new homes. Ready to become home. 🏠

Yesterday, we officially opened the doors to Home Place Duets, HAND’s newest community in Carmel.

These six three-bedroom affordable rental homes are now complete, and it was pretty special to welcome our partners, supporters and community members inside to celebrate.
Soon, six families will call them home.

Residents will be referred through our partners at Prevail and Family Promise of Hamilton County, bringing together stable, affordable housing with the support families need as they rebuild and move forward.

Home Place Duets is also a reminder of what can happen when a community comes together around housing. Public and private funders, nonprofit partners, our development team and community supporters all played a role in getting us to opening day.

We have a lot of people to thank, and we'll be sharing more from this special day. But for now, we're celebrating what all of that work was for:

Six more homes. Six more opportunities for families to have a place to call home. 💙
