The HCSO Community Foundation proudly hosted its annual Back to School Shopping Event! 🎒📚

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies and corrections officers had the privilege of shopping alongside an incredible group of students from the Hamilton County Youth Assistance Program as they prepared for the new school year.

A special thank you to Old Navy for helping our students find brand-new school clothes. HCSO staff and community partners also filled backpacks with essential school supplies to help set them up for success. To top off the evening, every child enjoyed a delicious dinner generously provided by Chick-fil-A and special treats from Raising Cane's.

We are incredibly grateful to COhatch for providing a wonderful venue for this event, and to Universal Cares 501c3 and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy Alumni Association for their continued partnership and support.

Together, we're helping local students start the school year with confidence and a smile. 💙

Every hero has a story.

Some wear uniforms. Some carry medical bags. Some answer the call when others are running away from danger. And some walk on four legs, guided by unwavering loyalty, extraordinary intelligence, and an unbreakable bond with their human partners.

On October 31, 2026, we invite our community to gather at Strawtown Koteewi Park for the 6th Annual Heroes Run, a day dedicated to celebrating courage, service, and the heroes who make our communities safer and stronger.

This year's theme proudly honors Working K-9s. These remarkable dogs whose service extends far beyond what many people ever see. From law enforcement and search-and-rescue missions to military operations, fire investigations, explosive and narcotics detection, conservation efforts, medical assistance, therapy, and groundbreaking scientific research, these incredible animals serve with unmatched dedication. Their contributions save lives, protect communities, advance science, and provide comfort and independence to countless people every day.

The Heroes Run is more than a race. It is an opportunity to recognize the partnerships built on trust, celebrate acts of selfless service, and remember those both human and canine who have sacrificed in the line of duty. Together, we'll honor the legacy of these extraordinary teams while inspiring the next generation to appreciate the many forms that heroism can take.
Whether you're an experienced runner, a casual walker, a family looking for a meaningful community event, or simply someone who wants to show appreciation for those who serve, the Heroes Run welcomes you.

Join us as we celebrate six years of honoring heroes, building community, and supporting a cause greater than ourselves. Come run, walk, cheer, and stand beside those who dedicate their lives and in this year's special tribute, their loyal K-9 partners to protecting and serving others.
Together, we'll celebrate courage. Together, we'll honor service. Together, we'll recognize that heroes come in every shape, size...and sometimes, on four paws.

Last Friday night, members of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and their families enjoyed a great evening together cheering on the Indy Fuel! 🏒

Events like this are a great opportunity for our team to step away from the daily demands of the job and spend time with the people who support them the most—their families. We’re grateful for the strong sense of community within our office and for the chance to create memories together outside of work.

Thank you to everyone who came out for a fun night of hockey and camaraderie!

HO, HO, HO! Our annual Christmas Express made another unforgettable ride this year!
Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we delivered gifts, food, and warm coats to kids throughout our community.
