I remember being 13, living with my mom for the first time in my life. It’s such a hard age anyway. I grew up living with my dad and my grandparents… my mom would pick me up on some weekends, and like any little girl, i thought she was the most incredible woman in the world. Safe to say it didn’t work out- me living with her… but i’m forever grateful for the love of horses she passed down to me. Whenever id share my dreams for the future, i remember her telling me that “i live in a fairytale land” …. and that always stuck with me. However, I believe life is what you make it, and everything is figureoutable. I live a rare life and i’m so incredibly proud and grateful for this life i’ve created, even if it’s a roller coaster🥹 I fight every day for this life, and I choose to live it to the fullest - whatever that takes. Writing this post, i have a big draft cross breathing softly on my hand after a long day at the barber shop. And theres nothing else like THAT. Maybe i do live in a fairytale land.. but like it here :) Don’t ever stop dreaming 🙏🏽 What if it all works out in the end?

2025 tested us in ways we never expected.

It was a year of uncertainty, hard decisions, and saying goodbye to places that once felt permanent. Ruby Ranch Sanctuary faced obstacles that stretched us emotionally, physically, and financially. But through it all, one thing never wavered: our commitment to the animals.

This year, our animals made brave transitions to new locations—some together, some to separate spaces—each move made with their safety, comfort, and future in mind. Change is never easy, especially for animals who rely on routine, but they adapted with quiet strength and resilience that inspired us every day.

None of this would have been possible without the people who stood beside us. Old friends who never left, new friends who stepped in without hesitation, board members who carried the weight alongside us, and a community that showed up when it mattered most. You reminded us that Ruby Ranch is more than land—it’s a network of hearts, hands, and hope.

As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude and renewed faith in what’s possible. The road forward feels lighter, the vision clearer, and the future full of promise.

Thank you for believing in this sanctuary, in these animals, and in what we are building—together.

Here’s to resilience, community, and new beginnings. 🤍🐾
