Celebrate World Food Day with us at Crosscut Pizzeria! 🍕

Next Friday, October 16, is World Food Day, a day to celebrate the people, places, and food systems that help nourish our communities. And what better way to celebrate than with pizza? 🍕😋

Crosscut is hosting a Give Back Night in support of Slow Food Boulder County and our work to strengthen Boulder’s local food system!

A Snail of Approval recipient since 2022, Crosscut Pizzeria leads by example in serving up delicious, creative food made with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. So grab a pizza, raise a slice to World Food Day, and know that your dinner is helping support a good, clean, and fair local food scene. ❤️

Save the date! The launch party for A Bite of Boulder: Vol. 2 is coming up next week, on October 14th, at Rosetta Hall! 📚🥂

This edition builds on everything readers loved about Volume 1: celebrating the restaurants, people, and stories that continue to shape Boulder’s food scene. This beautiful hardcover book features 29 restaurants and over 55 recipes too!

And we’re in the book! 📖 Slow Food BoCo’s very own Julie Quinn contributed a piece on Slow Food’s role in our local food scene. You can preorder your copy and RSVP for the October 14th launch party through the link in our bio!

September 21st through September 27th, thousands of venues around the world be collectively celebrating Negroni Week, in support of Slow Food USA & Slow Food International’s mission to build a better world of food and drink, and their Negroni Week Fund, which provides hospitality-focused scholarships and grants to individuals and projects helping to transform food and beverage systems.

If you’re a Negroni-loving individual, get ready to enjoy the best Boulder County has to offer - all week long, and all for a good cause! 🥃

Gathered around the table at Basta, celebrating friendship between 2 Slow Food Chapters, Boulder and Piedmont, Italy, and kicking off the excitement for Terra Madre in Torino. 🐌

We enjoyed the flavors of summer on the pizza, their always-fantastic bread, hokum carrots and bok choy, and that very unique ice cream with tomato drizzle. 🍅 Oh Basta!

And, we look forward to meeting up with our new friends, Maria and Carlo, and celebrating thousands of producers, chefs, farmers, and activists, working together on initiatives for equitable food access, and experiencing the culture of Torino, and the Giandulotto chocolate, here we come! 🇮🇹🐌
