Hey Homeschool friends!
As many of you know the first half of the year, our group was totally full and at capacity. We do have a waiting list and we are still getting messages about those wanting to join. If you are still interested in joining our co-op group, please comment below, letting us know that you want an entry form. I will put you on that waiting list as we may be pulling from that list soon. When you’re on the waiting list, we also will be adding some fun field trips for our homeschool families. Those on the waiting list are also invited to join us for certain outings! If you’re interested in being a part of the group, please comment with your email. I hope you all are having a wonderful new year☺️

I also wanted to add that Tiffany and I (Hannah) are more than happy to help answer any of your homeschooling questions even if you aren’t officially a part of the weekly meeting group. If we do not have the answers, we will help you figure out who does.  Homeschooling can feel like a very difficult experience if you do not have the right support group, that’s we are here for! 🤍

🚨Plz Read!!! 🧯🚒 Hey friends! Change of plans for Wednesday! 🚨 this will be open to those not in our group as well!
Instead of having our normal classes on Wednesday, we thought we would switch it up with a field trip not far from our normal meeting location. There will NOT be separate classes for this. Nitro library will be putting on an educational learning experience about fire prevention!
We thought this would be a great way to shake things up and get us out of the building.

We are standing at the main entrance for the pumpkin park gate. there are two entrances were currently standing by this is Abraham Lincoln passed the pageant girls at the main entrance
You can tell the gate entrance that you are with West Virginia growing minds. It’s $2 for students 5 and under get in free.

Apparently, there’s two entrances into the park Tiffany’s on one side I am on the other. I will post where we’re located when we’re all allowed to get into the park. They don’t let you in until 9 o’clock.. You can look for Tiffany or myself or I’ll post our location a few minutes after nine when we meet in the middle. 🙂
If we haven’t met yet, I’m pushing a stroller either way 3 littles, wearing a white T-shirt, brown over the shoulder purse and brown shoes with a white Apple watch on.

🚨🚨Thursday, October 2nd FIELD TRIP ANNOUNCEMENT:

🎃🎃🎃Hey Homeschool Mommas! Don't forget we will be meeting at the WV Pumpkin Park for our field trip day OUTSIDE of the gates at 8:45AM. Park opens at 9AM. If you plan to attend and are late or can't find us you can txt Hannah at (304) 881-2516.
Food & attentional things like poney rides do cost extra. Details from the event coordinator are posted below!!!
EVERYONE is WELCOME to attend this friend trip with us even if you are not officially apart of our CO-OP weekly group.

DETAILS BELOW VIA PUMPKIN PARK COORDINATOR:
You may pay via cash, check or credit card. If you are paying by check, please make the check payable to “WV Pumpkin Festival”. If you need a receipt the same day that you are visiting, it will be ready to pick up before you leave at the ticket booth where you entered. If you do not need the receipt the same day, one can be mailed or emailed to you.
We ask that once you come through the gate that you do not gather right inside. Please move your group over to the side to help alleviate the congestion at the gate.

There is a designated tent (solid white) filled with picnic tables right inside the gate that you will be entering for you to gather for lunch. If you are bringing coolers for your lunches, you may leave them beside the tent. Most schools eat around the same time and TABLES ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE and are not to be reserved. We do ask that you remind your students to clean up after themselves when they are done. We will also have a couple of areas roped off where you will have a place to sit on the ground and eat as well. If you or your students do not bring their lunches, you may purchase food on Concession Row where there are numerous places to choose from for your lunch and snacking needs. Please note that Concession Row is a very popular place so you can expect delays.

The students may purchase items from any of the vendors. As listed above there is an additional fee for the feed and pony rides at the Petting Zoo.

We are so excited to be hosting you and your classes next week. I wanted to confirm the following things to do and see while you’re at The 40th West Virginia Pumpkin Festival:

We will be meeting OUTSIDE the pumpkin park at 8:50AM. I'll post updates about where we are that morning and where to find us here on this thread!!! WE MUST ENTER GATES AS A GROUP. We go in at 9AM.

PLEASE put going and the number of how many will be attending with you on this comment thread so I can get a head count for the park and it will notify you when I update post that morning!

The West Virginia pumpkin festival is having a homeschool education day. Would anyone want to meet on Thursday, October 2nd. From 9 to 12.

Cost is $2.00 per student $5.00 per parent.

📚Experience agriculture up close through farm exhibits, pumpkin displays, and a petting zoo with live animals.
📚Enjoy live demonstrations that showcase Appalachian heritage, crafts, and skills unique to our region.
📚Engage with artisans and vendors who demonstrate traditional and modern crafts, providing insight into West Virginia’s culture and creativity.
📚Participate in activities designed to spark curiosity, foster learning, and connect classroom subjects to real-life experiences.
📚Celebrate the harvest season in a wholesome, family-friendly atmosphere that encourages appreciation for community, history, and agriculture.

Please comment below if you for sure want to attend with our group. I will post more details about where and what time we will be meeting in the parking lot to go in. Our student enrollment is officially closed.
 We are full for the Wednesday co-op class. Capacity is due to the amount of people we are allowed to have in the building at one time. If you are not added to the “WV growing minds MEMBERS ONLY” group page you are not enrolled in this year’s co-op.  Due to high interest, We are considering opening up another co-op day! You can message me with your email to be added to the waiting list. 🤍 

We will be posting on this specific page to invite homeschool families to attend certain field trips and additional fun days with our homeschool co-op group. There will be many things we do throughout the year where other homeschool families are welcome to join us also!
