Fishing To End Hunger The Fishing to End Hunger Tournament is an annual fishing tournament held to raise funds for The Out Outreach BLA packages 7 different meals.

The Fishing to End Hunger Tournament is held every October, and is an held to benefit The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes! Their mission is to provide meals to those in need. 80-90% of the meals packaged in Nisswa will be distributed within a 100 mile radius of Brainerd. The remaining 10-20% will be distributed internationally and or utilized for disaster relief.

And then came the awards.

After a full day on Gull Lake, the fishermen gathered back at Bar Harbor for the awards at the 14th Annual Fishing To End Hunger Walleyedans Guide Service Tournament.

One by one, teams took the stage, the final results were announced, and a great day on the water came to a close.

Congratulations to this year’s top three teams:

1st Place: Busch / Flintrop

2nd Place: Wasson / Decent
14.9 lbs
$6,000

3rd Place: Rasinski / Rasinski
14.66 lbs
$3,000

A huge congratulations to everyone who fished, volunteered, supported the event and helped make it such a fun tournament.

Before the fishing even starts, there is a whole lot happening behind the scenes at the 14th Annual Fishing To End Hunger Walleyedans Guide Service Tournament on Gull Lake.

From the boats launching at the Zorbaz landing, to anglers checking in at the docks at Bar Harbor, to the opening announcements, prayer and National Anthem, there is a lot that goes into getting everyone ready for a full day on the water.

And behind all of it is an incredible group of volunteers who are up early, helping with check-in, directing boats, answering questions and making sure everything runs smoothly.
This album highlights the buildup before the fishermen hit Gull Lake for the day.

A lot of work, a lot of moving parts, and a lot of great people making it all happen.

Northridge Insurance Agency, Inc. for being our event insurance provider

Nisswa Fire Department for providing the lighting on Saturday morning at Bar Harbor

Cass County Sheriff's Office / Walker Minnesota for issuing our permit and for safety for all

Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for allowing us the permit, for Matt being at the landing with the dog, and for oversight of the tournament.

City of Nisswa for lending us the traffic cones

City Of Lake Shore for providing us the event signs and for the safety of our community

Party Time Rental for setting up the event tents etc

Thank you Camp Nisswa for these amazing photos from Friday night.

Wow, what a weekend.

Friday night was check-in at Bar Harbor Supper Club, and the volunteers were there early getting everything ready. It was a beautiful fall evening on Gull Lake, with fishermen rolling in, catching up and talking about the day ahead.

For a tournament, it didn’t feel like a room full of competitors.

It felt like a group of friends getting ready to spend a day on the water together for a great cause.

This was our 14th year for the event and we appreciate having Dan as our tournament director and MC of the day.

This event is the primary fundraiser for The Outreach Program of Brainerd Lakes.
