Last weekend we were generously showered with community support. Nipomo FFA hosted a workday donating their energy by staining our horse shelter, pulling weeds in the pastures and greasing all the hinges on the property. Thank you Nipomo FFA! 👏🏼

We also had the privilege of collaborating with a local artist named Peggy Valko. Peggy used to own an art studio on Grand Avenue in Arroyo Grande and recently retired from her business. She created a photo opportunity for our 15th annual golf tournament. We are so lucky to have creative minds like Peggy in our community. 🎨

Last week, we had the opportunity to show the Nipomo Lions Club the latest updates to the equestrian facility. Their yearly donation helps us with improvements year after year. Thank you Nipomo Lions Cub!

Meet Horse #4: Meme

Meme is a 12 year old Arabian Quarter Horse cross with a loving personality. Despite being the youngest member of our herd she has proven to be calm, steady, and mature. Over the Summer, we introduced her to our program routine and now she is in our Fall 2026 Little Rider therapeutic riding lessons.

Fun Fact: Meme will come right up to you in the pasture and try to be your best friend. In fact, she inches closer into conversations between volunteers at the tie-rack often.

Sesloc Federal Credit Union has been a steady supporter of the Jack Ready Imagination Park year after year. Sesloc Federal Credit Union also presented one of our longtime volunteers the Community Cares Award for her commitment to the community and Jack’s Helping Hand. We are honored to hang Sesloc’s arena banner for their deep rooted values in the community.

Over the weekend the Jack Ready Imagination Park Equestrian Center celebrated the 4th of July! On our float we had families from our Little Riders therapeutic riding program spreading joy. We also had our weekly volunteers, our Jack's Helping Hand founders and other supporters on our beautiful float. To top off an amazing day in our community, we were awarded the Best Community Spirit Award. Thank you Rotary Club of Nipomo for hosting this parade!

Meet Horse #3:

Meet Fancy! This sweet American Quarter Horse mare is one of the newest members of the Jack's Helping Hand herd, and she's already winning hearts.

Before joining the Little Riders Program, Fancy had an impressive career as a cutting horse. After years in the show pen, she found the perfect second career as a therapeutic riding horse, where her gentle, patient nature truly shines.

Fun Fact: Fancy is very food-motivated. If it's edible, there's a good chance she'll want to try it! Treats are definitely the quickest way to become her best friend.

With her calm, forgiving personality and love for children, Fancy helps riders build confidence while creating smiles every step of the way.

Drop a 🥕 in the comments if you'd love to meet Fancy!
