Introducing your 2026-2027 Nipomo FFA Digital Informational Services Committee... 📸📔

Hi Nipomo FFA! My name is Briana Labra, and this is my 3rd year in FFA and 2nd year in AG Leadership. I've participated in various CDE's and LDE's such as Citrus Judging, Opening and Closing, Impromptu, Creed, Water Issues, and my personal favorite, Nursery Landscape, which has given me the opportunity to travel to Nationals as part of the State Champion team! I hope to get involved in the Prepared Public Speaking LDE, as well as the Veterinary Science CDE for this school year. When the jacket comes off, some of the hobbies you'll find me doing are crafting-- my love language and form of appreciation is through personal creations such as homemade cards and gifts. I also like to read; my favorite genre is sci-fi, and my current favorite books are "Project Hail Mary,” "The Martian,” and "Sunrise on the Reaping.” Lastly, I really enjoy listening to music. I like almost every genre, and I am open to any type of playlist. It's my favorite thing to multitask while doing assignments. Some fun facts about me are that I own one cat, and my favorite color is pink. One of my favorite memories in FFA was during CDE season, where my friends and I were studying plant ID in the hotel hallways.

Hey Nipomo FFA! My name is Dominic Valencia, and I’m a junior at Nipomo High School. I joined FFA my freshman year and jumped straight into involvement. During my freshman year, I competed in Creed Speaking and Best Informed Greenhand, and I also attended conferences like GLC and State Conference. Going into my sophomore year, I tried to be more involved, and I attended State Conference once more, and also MFE. In addition, I also competed in Nursery Landscape, Parli Pro, and Water Issues. Going into my junior year, I plan on competing in the same competitions, but I also want to try out for the golf team!

This Thursday, Nipomo FFA held its annual Greenhand Palooza! Our freshmen members headed onto Ag Island at the beginning of fourth period to play games, bond with their leadership buddies, and learn more about FFA! Our Greenhands engaged in an LDE Jeopardy, CDE Heads Up, Water Sponge Race, SAE Relay Race, and learned the famous Church Clap! Congrats to the Aura Farmers led by Michael Russell, for being the Palooza Chant Champions! 🏆 🚜

Introducing your Nipomo FFA Outreach & Spirit Committee...⚡️

Hi Nipomo FFA! I am Stephanie Pacheco, and this year, I am part of the Outreach and Spirit committee. I’m a junior this year, and I’ve been in the FFA for 3 years; this is my 1st year in Ag Leadership! I’m very excited to participate in numerous competitions this year, like Spanish Creed, Citrus Judging, and the Floral CDE. In my past 3 years, I’m best known for participating in Spanish Creed, which I started my freshman year. This competition really helped me grow within the FFA and as a person. When I’m not in the blue corduroy jacket, I enjoy reading, trying to learn piano, and spending time with my family. Besides that, I also enjoy traveling a lot, and I enjoy my afternoons chilling. I have created many memories when traveling for competitions, like the relief after it’s over, connecting with friends, and changing in random restrooms.

Hey everyone! My name is Juilissa Hernandez, and I’m a sophomore who is very involved in FFA. Some events that I’ve participated in have been State Conference, National convention, Creed Speaking, as well as being a Greenhand officer! Some hobbies I love are reading, being in ASB, playing sports, writing, showing swine, playing Roblox, and watching TV shows! I also love to read poetry, and show pigs. I’m going into my 4th year of showing swine in County Line 4-H, and I want to continue doing it for years to come. I also find pleasure in watching shows and movies. Some of my favorites are Harry Potter, Ninjago, The 100, and anything Marvel! In addition, I enjoy building Legos and keeping up with Formula 1-related content. I’ve also done multiple sports, and have been involved in ASB. One of my favorite memories was when I was given the opportunity to attend my favorite artist’s concert, The Weeknd!

Last Friday, Nipomo FFA held our annual tailgate before the Nipomo V.S Templeton football game! We had so much fun welcoming members, and non-members to enjoy an afternoon filled with food, games, and anticipation before a long-awaited football game! Thank you to everyone who showed up last Friday, and congrats to Nipomo's football team for taking home a win! 🏆 🏈📣⚡️

It starts at 4:30 on the Ag Island Quad! 📍Bring your own protein to grill, or enjoy some nachos, s'mores, and drinks on us! Make sure to RSVP with an Ag Advisor, or in the FFA Can as if you haven't already! 💻 All NHS students are welcome, regardless if you're an FFA member or not. This Friday, October 2nd, Nipomo FFA will be hosting our annual tailgate starting at 4 P.M in the Ag Island Quad!📍This event will be preceding Nipomo's home football game V.S Templeton High School! 🏈 All NHS students are welcome (including those not in FFA), additionally we are welcoming Templeton FFA members as our special guests! Nipomo FFA will provide everyone who attend with s'mores, nachos, and drinks, but make sure to bring your own protein to grill! Nipomo FFA members can receive one FFA activity point for attending, but make sure to RSVP on the FFA Canvas, or with an Ag Advisor as soon as possible! On October 26th, Nipomo FFA took 33 teams to compete at the sectional Opening & Closing competition hosted at Pioneer Valley High School! Opening & Closing is a competition in which a formal script is memorized, and used to replicate the beginning and end official FFA meetings. This is Nipomo FFA's most popular Leadership Development Event, as we consistently have hundreds of members participate! See results below!👇

On Saturday, September 12th, Nipomo FFA had two outstanding chapter members attend the Sectional Officer Leadership Conference! Emma Uclaray is currently serving as the Santa Barbara Sectional Secretary 🌽, while Brielle Keller is serving as the Santa Barbara Sectional Sentinel🚪! At this leadership conferences, attendees got to learn valuable leadership skills and lessons from regional, and state-wide FFA leaders, got to connect with other sectional officers from our region, and got to bond together as the team serving as leaders for our section! We are so proud of Emma Uclaray, and Brielle Keller for representing Nipomo FFA at the sectional level, and we applaud them as they continue their year of service for the Santa Barbara Section! ⚡️📣👏

On May 26th, Nipomo FFA took 6 Project Competition participants to the Santa Barbara Sectional Project Competition Banquet. These students were able to showcase their Supervised Agricultural Experiences through interviews, and in-person presentations.
