Happy Indigenous People’s Day!!

We have officially opened the registration for this year’s OYE Indigenous Youth Conference from Saturday, November 7th to Monday, November 9th in Tulare County, CA! 

Registration Deadline is on November 1st.

OYE is seeking workshop presenters for our 11th OYE Encuentro on Sunday, November 08, 2026.

We are interested in presenters leading cultural workshops in the areas of:

*Traditional arts and crafts
*Traditional dancing
*Traditional cooking
*Traditional agricultural practices
*Artistic expressions such as photography, filmmaking, singing or writing
*Mental health
*Education
*And social advocacy

All workshops will be intended toward youth 13 years of age and up.

OYE está buscando presentadores de talleres para nuestra novena conferencia OYE el domingo 08 de noviembre de 2026.

Estamos interesados ​​en presentadores que lideren talleres culturales en las áreas de:

*Artes y artesanías tradicionales.
*Baile tradicional
*Cocina tradicional
*Prácticas agrícolas tradicionales
*Expresiones artísticas como fotografía, cine, canto o escritura.

Open to students of Mesoamerican Indigenous backgrounds attending trade school, community college, or university in California. Undocumented, AB540, DACA & US citizens are all welcome.
Abierta a estudiantes de origen indígena mesoamericano en California. No documentados, AB540, DACA y ciudadanos estadounidenses son bienvenidos.

Se ha ampliado el plazo para presentar solicitudes al programa RAICES. OYE quiere apoyar a los grupos comunitarios indígenas de California que se enfocan en la comunidad indígena migrante. Pueden ser grupos comunitarios ya existentes o de reciente creación. ¡Te invitamos a que presentes tu solicitud!
