Cultures don’t disappear in war.
They disappear in silence.
They disappear when the next generation stops knowing who they are.

We are one of the oldest civilizations on Earth… and still fighting to be seen.

Identity isn’t optional. It’s survival.

We are one of the oldest peoples on earth.

Our roots are ancient.
Our language is ancient.
Our faith is ancient.
Our story is ancient.

And yet… in the modern world, we’re still fighting to remain visible.

No accurate census.
No true recognition.
No official checkbox.
No place in the narrative.

An ancient people should never have to fight to prove they exist.

Visibility isn’t given. It’s built.
Be counted. Be heard. Be Assyrian.

We love our dances.
We love our food.
We love our holidays.

But if our identity only shows up at festivals… what happens the other 364 days?

Being Assyrian is more than what we wear once a year.
It’s the language we speak.
The history we teach.
The faith we protect.
The values we pass on.
The children we raise.

Culture brings us together.
Identity is what keeps us together.

Not just dancing.
Not just food.
Not just holidays.

Identity has to live deeper.

Be counted. Be heard. Be Assyrian.

Every generation has paid a price.

Our grandparents lost land.
Our parents fought to keep language alive.
Will our generation allow identity to disappear?

Not if we act.

Preserve more than memory. Preserve a people.

Our grandparents spoke it. Will we let it end with us?

Language is more than words.
It carries memory, faith, history, and identity.

If the next generation doesn’t speak Assyrian… what do we lose?

Preserving who we are starts with choosing not to let silence become our legacy.

Speak it. Teach it. Live it.
And be counted at www.AssyrianID.org

If Assyrians were counted properly, imagine what could change.

More funding for our communities.
Greater political recognition.
Protection for our history, language, and heritage.

This isn’t just about numbers.
It’s about visibility. Voice. Future.

Be counted. Be heard. Be Assyrian.

How many Assyrians are there in any given area?

We don’t know.
Because we’ve never been counted.

No checkbox.
No data.
No recognition.

That ends now.

This ID is more than a card—it’s a way to be seen, to be counted, to exist in the systems that shape our future.

Be counted. Be heard. Be Assyrian.

Empowering and Unifying Assyrians: The Need for a National I.D.

Join us for an important and timely conversation on identity, unity, and the future of our global Assyrian community.

In the absence of a recognized state, Assyrians across the world continue to navigate challenges surrounding national recognition, demographic visibility, and collective cohesion. This powerful presentation will introduce the Assyrian National I.D. Initiative — a voluntary civic effort designed to strengthen self-identification, reinforce historical continuity, and promote unity beyond ecclesiastical or regional divisions.

This initiative offers a practical and dignified framework for affirming Assyrian identity while contributing to clearer global demographic representation. Through grassroots organization and civic engagement, we can build stronger foundations for long-term cultural preservation and communal solidarity.

We are honored to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Mickaily-Huber, Ph.D. as our special guest speaker. An adjunct professor of Engineering at Liberty University specializing in Computational Fluid Mechanics, Dr. Mickaily-Huber also serves as Assistant Editor of Nineveh Magazine and President of the Assyrian National Council of Stanislaus. As the founder of the Assyrian National I.D. Initiative, she continues to lead meaningful efforts focused on strengthening Assyrian identity, unity, and global representation.

This will be an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion centered on empowerment, national affirmation, and the responsibility we share in shaping our collective future.

We look forward to seeing our community come together for this important dialogue.
