Empowering and Unifying Assyrians: The Need for a National I.D.
Join us for an important and timely conversation on identity, unity, and the future of our global Assyrian community.
In the absence of a recognized state, Assyrians across the world continue to navigate challenges surrounding national recognition, demographic visibility, and collective cohesion. This powerful presentation will introduce the Assyrian National I.D. Initiative — a voluntary civic effort designed to strengthen self-identification, reinforce historical continuity, and promote unity beyond ecclesiastical or regional divisions.
This initiative offers a practical and dignified framework for affirming Assyrian identity while contributing to clearer global demographic representation. Through grassroots organization and civic engagement, we can build stronger foundations for long-term cultural preservation and communal solidarity.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Elizabeth Mickaily-Huber, Ph.D. as our special guest speaker. An adjunct professor of Engineering at Liberty University specializing in Computational Fluid Mechanics, Dr. Mickaily-Huber also serves as Assistant Editor of Nineveh Magazine and President of the Assyrian National Council of Stanislaus. As the founder of the Assyrian National I.D. Initiative, she continues to lead meaningful efforts focused on strengthening Assyrian identity, unity, and global representation.
This will be an inspiring and thought-provoking discussion centered on empowerment, national affirmation, and the responsibility we share in shaping our collective future.
We look forward to seeing our community come together for this important dialogue.
