💙✂️ A HUGE THANK YOU FROM JLKA MINISTRY! ✂️💙

I want to take this time to openly thank some of the amazing people who helped make our Back-to-School FREE Haircut & Braiding Event such a HUGE success! 🙌🏾

First, a BIG thank you to our amazing barbers who had our boys looking and feeling FRESH! 💈🔥

👏🏾 Andrew Wortham
👏🏾 Randall Davis
👏🏾 Elyse Zimmerman
👏🏾 Anthony Carver

Thank you to our incredibly talented braiders who worked their magic! 💕✨

👏🏾 Chy Nna
👏🏾 Daisy Mitchell
👏🏾 Katina Briggs

And a very special thank you to my amazing and wonderful hairstylists:

❤️ Barbara Morris
❤️ Valray Croom

This event could not have been done in excellence without our incredible volunteers. There are way too many to name individually, but you know who you are! Your time, love, hard work and willingness to serve our community did not go unnoticed. ❤️🙏🏾

A special thank you to Tawanna Brann for the delicious snow cones! 🍧

Thank you to the NAACP for donating backpacks and helping us bless our students. 🎒

And a HUGE thank you to Erin Matthews for donating school supplies every year since we started this event 3 years ago! You are truly AWESOME, and we appreciate you more than you know! 🥰📚✏️

The bounce house and sports center were a HUGE success, and the food truck Rico Suave was definitely a HIT! 🎉🏀🍔

Most importantly, THANK YOU to our community for showing up in such a BIG way! Because of all of you, we were able to feed 141 people and provide 67 haircuts and braids! 🙌🏾👏🏾

67 students blessed. 141 people fed. Countless smiles. ❤️

Thank you to EVERYONE who supported, volunteered, donated, participated, shared the event, or simply showed up. We could not have done this without YOU!

And guess what? We’re already making plans for next year! 🎉

📅 Please mark your calendars!
Our event will be held on the Saturday before Niles Community Schools goes back to school in 2027. The exact date will be announced at a later time. Hairstylist, barbers & braiders please think about volunteering your time we could definitely use your help. This is for the kiddos.😍

We’re already looking forward to making next year even BIGGER and BETTER! 🙏🏾

We are so excited about our FREE Back-to-School Haircuts & Braiding Event!

A few important reminders to the community. Braids are limited, so they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please make sure ALL heads are clean, completely combed out, and free of products before arriving. This will help everything run smoothly and allow us to serve as many kiddos as possible.

While you wait, come enjoy all the festivities we have planned! We’ll have FREE food, raffles, school supplies, bounce house, and lots of fun!

If you’re part of the Anew Divine family, please stop by and say hello! We would love to see you!

We’re looking forward to a wonderful day filled with fun, smiles, and lots of happy kiddos!
