3 months away. August will be here before we know it. We are still looking for volunteers. Come help us send the kiddos back to school looking great. Be a part of this great community event; it's very rewarding to see the smiles on the kiddos' and parents' faces.

JLKA Ministry is collaborating with Anew Divine Beauty Salon & Barbershop to host our 3rd annual 2026-2027 back to school haircut event. We are currently soliciting volunteers to participate in this initiative. To optimize our impact, we propose consolidating our efforts and hosting a single, large-scale event to ensure our children start the new school year looking their best. The date, time, and location are listed on the flyer. We also require face painters, balloon artists, and any organization that would like to display and give away backpacks and school supplies.

Assisting others in need brings me so much satisfaction. The JLKA Ministry has chosen to sponsor children aged 2 to 16 during the Christmas season. Although we couldn't fulfill all their requests, the children will still benefit from our efforts. It's truly rewarding to be able to make a positive impact. Definitely couldn’t do this without all our support.

We wanted to take the time out to thank ALL our amazing volunteers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to help our thanksgiving day feeding the community a great success. We prepared for 350 people and we served 329 people. Thank you all who came out on Wednesday to help prep. You guys did the most important part getting them turkeys cooked, dessert cut, rools bagged, cornbread cooked for the dressing, veggies sautéed, cranberry prepared, table and Schaffer dishes ready etc….. Thanksgiving day would be mess without all your help. Thank you to all that makes the day happen. Our cooks, delivery drivers, servers, baggers, cleaning crew etc…,, This is a lot of work but it’s worth it all to see all the happy faces when they receive a dinner and the help that make it a great success.

Thank you Niles high school for letting us use the school every year. #7 for the books.

It’s that time of year again. The Wortham family is excited to feed the community of Niles and the surrounding areas again this year with a FREE HOT Thanksgiving meal on thanksgiving day, trimmed with all the good fixings.

If you are a senior or disabled we have free delivery for you.
If you are someone wanting a meal for whatever the reason.
