Malakhi Burt:
Malakhi started playing at age 5.
He has always played for Fireman's Park.
Malakhi enjoys playing 2nd base and short stop. He loves the game and how competitive it gets but most of all he loves playing with his friends from school.
Malakhi we so proud to watch you grow and do all the things you love.

Always remember why you play kiddo... the connections we build with others, and the freedom to let go and be completely present in the moment. It is the perfect reminder that whatever you are playing -
the ultimate goal is to have fun and enjoy all things you do.

Connor Mears:

Connor started playing at Fireman's park in 2025. He played Tee-ball but took time off due to moving. He was somewhat new to the area and found sports leagues through his friends. He became friends with Braxton, who played at Firemen's park, and was asked to join the team. He was nervous at first, joining a new sport, but he stepped out onto the field and showed his talent at the game. He worked the field, learning all the different spots he could. He is now his team's full-time catcher and also pitches for his team this year. His favorite spot is being the catcher, and his favorite thing about playing baseball is when he gets a big hit and his team goes crazy! This is his second year on the All-Stars team for Firemen's. Last year, he received MVP at one tournament for being the only one to score a run against a difficult team! Connor has shown such improvement over the two years; he put the time and effort into being the best he can. He has some great people in his life who have been a great influence on him when it comes to baseball. His grandparents, Terri and Tim, give him the pep talks he needs and keep him true to himself. We are very proud of the player he has become over the last few years. Thank you to everyone who has helped and coached him to make him the player he is today.

Come watch this kid and his teammates play their last game on June 9th at 7:45pm.

Brantlee Smith:

Brantlee started his love for baseball at Firemans Park in 2022 with the Pirates and is ending this year on the Pirates.
From the excitement of his very first hit to the confident player he is today, it has been amazing to watch him grow both as an athlete and as a young man. Whether he's playing outfield, shortstop, or stepping onto the mound as a pitcher, Brantlee has always approached the game with determination, enthusiasm, and a team-first mindset.
What makes us most proud, however, isn't just his ability on the field—it's his attitude. Through every practice, game, win, and loss, Brantlee has consistently shown a positive spirit and a love for the game. His smile, encouragement of teammates, and willingness to give his best effort are qualities that make him special both on and off the field.

Brantlee, watching you grow from a young player getting that unforgettable first hit into the hardworking, coachable, and positive young man you are today has been one of our greatest joys. We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to cheering you on in all the adventures that lie ahead.

Come watch this kid and his team play their last game June 9th at 7:45pm.
