THE STORY: Death by Diedre, a murder mystery company, is getting ready to perform their latest work, “A Plateful of Death.” The actors are set, the costumes are ready, and everyone prepares to enjoy the show. However, not all is ideal about this group – the director Diedre belittles her actors every chance she gets, making them scrape to survive while she eats steak and has designer clothing. The leading man cannot remember his lines, the leading lady hates her dress, and the owner of the establishment is about ready to wash his hand of the entire group. Throw in an ex – husband who Diedre treats like a dog and a quiet actor who just wants to do his part, and a night of chaos ensues. Mayhem, merriment, and even a dash of murder await!

Four male and two female roles are available and include the following characters:

DIEDRE – The director of Death by Diedre, an interactive murder mystery company.

DUNDER DOODY – Dierdre's ex – husband.

MAVERICK – Owner of the restaurant (in the show) where the mystery is being performed. He is a real “maverick,” and has worked hard to get where he is.

PHILLIPE IGLASIAS GAUNTZ – An actor, playing the leading man, Winston Stinson, in tonight's production, “A Plateful of Death.” He is arrogant, selfish, and handsome, and thinks he is very, very talented.

WINNIE WEINNER – An actress, playing the leading lady, Adelle Acasea, in tonight's production, “A Plateful of Death.” She sees herself as someone everyone loves to work with... an easy – going, accommodating, selfless... all the while complaining loudly about everything.

EVAN S. EVEN – An actor. He's even – tempered and pleasant and will take even the smallest role without complaint. Everyone likes Evan, especially Diedre. Evan is generally a mild – mannered guy, unless he's pushed too far.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Contact Four Flags Players at 269-695-1150 for more information.

Please bring an acting resume to the audition. Be prepared to list any and all conflicts you might have during the rehearsal and performance period at the auditions.

Please join us today and help support the arts in our community.
