EAA Chapter 865, Inc. Chapter 865 of the Experimental Aircraft Association has been chartered since 1986. We are dedicated EAA Chapter 865, Inc.

Future Activities
Our Chapter will host another Fly-In Breakfast in June , host an FAA Safety seminar from time to time, recruit newmembers and work on donated projects. We plan to continue most of the above listed events. We hope to continue working with the Boy Scouts Aviation Merit Badge program. We are upgrading our meeting and workshop areas, making it a year around facility. We hope to work

more closely with the CAP, South Bend Composite Squadron, possibly providing our meeting room free of charge. We’ll add events and projects as they present themselves.

Got the Vinted app for selling things online. Got caught it a scam operation. After the fake messages started getting after my financial accounts info I realized what was going on. Luckily, I blocked the f-----s and took precautions to protect my info. It began with bogus emails wanting to buy my item.

Special Breakfast Reminder!

This Saturday is our Second Saturday Breakfast at the Chapter House. Phil and Wendi will be serving up Eggs, Sausage and Pancakes from 8:30 to 10am..

At 10:00 we have a special presentation by Troy Duck. We was recently in a Cirrus over Kansas and had to deploy the CAPS after an engine failure. Once he hit the ground, strong winds kept the chute inflated and dragged the airplane for 2 miles on the ground!

He'll be telling you the fascinating story of how it happened, how they got out, and the aftermath of it.

It's open to the public, everyone is welcome.
