Thank you to everyone who came out to the Niles Pride Walk to show that we are all welcome in Niles. Having all the speakers, volunteers, donors, and attendees come together every year is more meaningful than we can express.

Today is the day, and the weather is looking good! The Niles Pride Rainbow Walk and Picnic will be outside today (June 6) at Kirk Lane Park in Niles, IL!

Here is our schedule and walk route:

11am: Greetings and speeches
11:30ish: Pride Walk
Route:
We leave Kirk Lane Park at the east end and walk south on Nordica to Howard. On Howard we will walk west to Waukegan and turn north. We will walk north to Jonquil Terrace. On Jonquil Terrace we will head back east to Nordica and then head back north to the park for lunch!
12pm: We return to the park for lunch
12 - 2pm: social time - come meet others in the community, check out some local and regional resources and LGBTQIA+-supportive groups
After 2pm: takedown and clean-up

Cupcakes and caramel apples, oh my! Getting ready for the Niles Pride Rainbow Walk on Saturday June 6th at 11am in Kirk Lane Park!

We kick off with some quick speeches at about 11am and then go on a one mile walk. Our route is as follows:

We leave Kirk Lane Park at the east end and walk south on Nordica to Howard. On Howard we will walk west to Waukegan and turn north. We will walk north to Jonquil Terrace. On Jonquil Terrace we will head back east to Nordica and then head back north to the park for lunch and fun!

Are you ready for the Niles Pride Rainbow Walk on Saturday, June 6th? Rain or shine, the event will still take place, and we will be proud and strong! Lunch will be provided free of charge. On that note, we want to give a shout out and sincere thanks to Kappy's American Restaurant and Affy Tapple - The Original Caramel Apple! for providing delicious sandwiches, sides, and caramel apples! We appreciate your support!
