Henry Scanzio, now 103, was a paratrooper during the Second World War. After suffering a devastating injury during training, he healed and became a parachute instructor.
He trained thousands of soldiers to become paratroopers in the United States Army, who later joined the 82nd, 101st, and 17th Airborne. Thanks to him, soldiers successfully landed in Normandy and Holland to liberate Europe.
