Once again we will not be able to be open today due to two of our staff that are still recovering from some medical issues. Although we are getting closer we are not there yet. We apologize for this inconvenience and we are very anxious to get back to full strength, especially for the benefit of our employees. We appreciate your caring thoughts, prayers and patience during this time.

We've received some amazing support in the last week so we feel blessed but I still have 2 employees who are not able to get to work. Both are awaiting medical clearance. We will continue to be open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until they can recover and return to work. Please pray for their quick recovery. Thanks and we are sorry for the inconvenience that this causes.

One of our dreams after our fire in 2023 was to have the ability at our new location to allow our homeless friends to wash their clothes. Thanks to the thoughtful actions of a supporter, Whirlpool donated a new washer and dryer to make our dream a reality. God continues to bless us so we can "love our neighbors as ourselves."

This past year has been a tough one as we have seen the needs in our community rise. As we head into the winter, there may be more people dealing with having no place to stay warm. Would you consider an end of year gift to the Ferry Street Resource Center so we can help the homeless, prevent homelessness and keep the lights and heat on? You can drop off or mail checks to 317 N. 7th Street, Niles, MI on Monday through Thursday between 10 and 3. You can also drop them in our secure mailbox or you can go to ferrystreet.org/donate.html to set up a monthly gift or provide a generous one-time gift.

Putting out a call for winter gear like coats, hats, gloves and boots. We are blessed to have had some donated so far. We are anticipating that the homeless numbers may increase through this winter season and we want to protect as many men, women and children from the cold as we can. We will be participating in the Sharing is Caring: A Community Day of Donation on December 7th. You can donate that day or before by calling our center at 269.687.9860.
