最高のお天気の中で開催された Skokie Festival of Culture！たくさんのお客様に見守られ、大盛り上がりのステージとなりました✨

晴天に響き渡る法螺貝とドラで幕開けし、アナウンスとともにスタート！
今回はエイサーに加え、幼稚園の子どもたちが初ステージに挑戦！会場からは「かわいい～！」の声がたくさん聞こえてきました☺️

エイサー、獅子舞、空手、チェロと、盛りだくさんの演舞！力強さと一体感が増し、観客の皆さんも思わず見入っていました✨
フィナーレは、会場のみなさんと一緒にポンポンを持って踊り、笑顔いっぱいの時間となりました。

たくさんの温かい応援と励ましのお言葉をいただき、無事に終了することができました。支えてくださったご家族の皆様、観客の皆様、スタッフの皆様！ありがとうございました！

What an incredible day at the 2026 Skokie Festival of Cultures under the beautiful, sunny sky! We had a big crowd cheering us on, and the stage was full of energy!

The performance kicked off with the powerful echoes of the conch shell and gong, followed by our opening announcement. This year, along with our traditional Eisa dance, our preschool kids made their very first stage debut! You could hear so many people in the crowd saying, “So cute!”

Our program was packed with excitement, featuring Eisa, the Lion Dance (Shishimai), Karate, and even a cello performance! For the grand finale, so many people in the audience joined in, dancing together with colorful pom-poms. The venue was instantly filled with endless smiles and joy.

Thanks to all of your warm support and encouraging words, we were able to bring our performance to a successful close. To our families who supported us behind the scenes, our amazing audience, and all the festival staff - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

はいさい！この週末は、ちむどんどんお披露目会が開催されました！

直前まで最後の一動作にこだわり抜いたリハーサル。その熱量のままご家族を迎え入れ、ついに本番の幕が上がりました。魂を揺さぶる冒頭のドラミングから、挑戦し続けてきた新曲まで。メンバー全員が、完璧にひとつに重なる圧巻の演舞となりました。

演舞の後は、ご家族が用意してくれたお菓子やフルーツを囲みながら、高校生達企画のお楽しみ会。やり遂げた安堵感と達成感に包まれ、会場のあちこちから弾けるような笑い声が響き渡りました。

最後は沖縄県人会の皆さんも登場！🎵カチャシーの演奏で賑やかに幕を閉じました。

この日の確かな手応えを糧に、私たちはさらなる高みを目指して、今年もたくさんのステージをお届けしたいと思います。

Haisai! This past weekend, we held our "Chimu don don" Showcase!

spent every last minute of our rehearsal perfecting every single movement. Carrying that same energy, we welcomed our families as the curtains finally rose. From the soul-shaking opening drumming to our latest song, the entire team moved in perfect unison for a truly powerful performance.

After the performance, we moved on to a fun social gathering planned by our high school members, surrounded by snacks and fruit prepared by our families. Filled with a sense of relief and accomplishment, the room was buzzing with bright smiles and laughter.

To top it all off, members of the Okinawa Kenjinkai joined us for a lively finale with Kachashii music!🎵 Driven by the success of this event, we will continue to aim higher and look forward to bringing many more performances to you throughout the year.

今年も、たくさんの皆さんの元へ私たちの演舞と笑顔をお届けできるよう、チーム一丸がんばります！

It’s still cold with occasional snow flurries, but how is everyone doing?
Chimu-don-don has been active since January! Today is our final practice for the Chimu don don party in March. We’re even challenging ourselves with a new song. Despite struggling with the new choreography, it’s all coming together, and the member’s expressions have become truly focused.
We will continue to work together as a team to bring our performance and smiles to as many people as possible this year!

先日、JASC（Japanese American Service Committee）ホリデーディライトでのエイサー演舞が無事に終了しました。
響き渡る太鼓の鼓動は観客の心に届き、会場全体がその熱気に包まれました。

新しい演舞にも挑戦し、みんなが少しずつ成長している姿に心打たれます。（つい最近まで小さかったと思ったのに。。。）

今回とても印象的だったのが、演舞後にいただいた皆さんからの言葉です。
「感動したよ！」という声を、たくさんの方々から頂きました。
メンバー一人ひとりの“一生懸命”が人の心を動かし、感動を生み出す力があるのだと改めて感じました。

シカゴという地で、沖縄の文化を通して、観る人・踊る人みんなで感動を共有できること。本当に特別な事だと感じています。

支えてくださったスタッフの皆さん、見守ってくださった観客の皆さんへの感謝が溢れる演舞となりました。

今回のこの温かい感覚が彼らの心に残り、日々の中にある「感謝」に気づけますように。
温かい思いを分かち合いながら、みんなで“ちむどんどん”できるチームでありますように。

皆様、良い感謝祭をお過ごしください！

The JASC Holiday Delight Eisa performance was a smash hit! The resounding rhythm of the drums reached the hearts of the audience, enveloping the entire venue in a powerful, shared enthusiasm.

We challenged ourselves with a new dance, and we were deeply moved to see the gradual growth of every member. (It feels like just yesterday they were so small!)

We received so many wonderful comments from the audience, such as, “That was truly moving!” This experience reminded us that the sincere effort (“Isshokenmei”) of each individual has the power to touch hearts and create genuine emotion.

To be able to share such profound emotion—both for those watching and those dancing—through Okinawan culture here in Chicago is truly a special thing.

This performance overflowed with gratitude for the staff who supported us and the audience who watched over us.

We hope this warm feeling we shared stays with the children and helps them recognize the “gratitude” present in their everyday lives.

May we continue to be a team where we can all experience “Chimudondon” (a heartwarming, exciting feeling) together, sharing that warm spirit with one another.

エイサー演舞 —シカゴ双葉会日本語学校補習校にて

先日行われた、シカゴ双葉会日本語学校　補習校公演を無事に終えることができました。最後には、なんと会場中からスタンディングオーベーション👏✨

日頃お世話になっている現地校の先生方へ感謝の気持ちを込めて踊った今回のステージ。メンバー一人ひとりの熱い想いが太鼓の鼓動と共に鳴り響き、みんなが一つになった感動的な演舞となりました。

息を切らしながらも、最後まで力いっぱい太鼓を打ち鳴らし、声を響かせたメンバーたち。その姿には、「自分たちの文化を誇りに思う強さと喜び」がありました。
この公演が、見てくださった方の心にも、踊り、歌ったメンバー達の心にも、
これからも温かく残りますように。

We successfully completed our recent performance at the Chicago Futabakai Japanese School!And to our great joy, the audience gave us a standing ovation at the end 👏✨

This performance was dedicated to the teachers of the local schools who support students every day.Each member’s passion resonated through the beat of the drums, creating a powerful and emotional performance that united everyone as one.

Even as they danced breathlessly to the final rhythm, the performers’ spirits shone with pride and joy in sharing their Okinawan culture.
May this experience stay warmly in the hearts of all who watched — and in the hearts of those who danced and sang with all their might.
