The Old Poor Farm operates on four acres in Dodge County, Nebraska on the historical original homestead site of the Dodge County Poor Farm. Once a home for people in need has now become a no-kill refuge for abused, unwanted and handicapped creatures.

THE FINAL SEED COUNT: 676!!
Lynn Behrens won a 2027 family pass to the Old Poor Farm which grants unlimited free access to the farm during open season with her guess which was the closest without going over. The next closest guess was "700" CONGRATS LYNN!!

Get ready for a day of fun! It's our annual Fall Fundraiser event at the farm! The ground is dry, grass is green and the temperature will be fabulous! Come get your family photograph on the giant straw chair! (Marshmallow gives her seal of approval) Lots of activities, handmade crafts and plenty of good eats! The rain is gone!! Come on over Saturday 9-5 for our fall Fundraiser event and enjoy the sunshine! There will be food treats, fabulous woodworking and gifts of all types! Kids activities and plenty of animals to visit all on an incredible historical farmstead!

On this rainy day we'd like to give a heartfelt thank you to the Omaha Pumpkin Company in Omaha for their generous donation of 60 bales of straw bedding for the animals! They are safely tucked into the dry barn ready to provide comfort and warmth in the coming winter months. Thank you so much!!
