HALLELUJAH 🙌🏾 ♥️ - Basix6 Homeless Outreach 2025 “Blessing Bags” ✅
With hearts full of gratitude to God, we celebrate that the 11th Annual Blessing Bags for the Homeless has been accomplished today, faithfully and successfully through the hands of countless volunteers, both present and not present.
Eleven years ago, God gave me this ministry assignment, what began in our kitchen grew into our garage, and now for the past three years we have been blessed to host this day in a large church gymnasium. This growth is nothing short of God’s faithfulness at work—Hallelujah! 🙌🏾 🙏🏾
Today was a powerful reminder that when God calls, He also provides the people, the resources, and the strength to carry out His work.
I am especially thankful for the many young people who dedicated their Saturday to assembling and distributing backpacks filled with hygiene kits, supplies to help survive the harsh elements, and non-perishable food items. In today’s climate, this kind of selfless service speaks volumes.
It was such a joy to see so many first-time volunteers alongside those who have been serving faithfully for years, and to witness families, moms and dads bringing their children choosing to model compassion, generosity, and service together.
We are deeply grateful to First Alliance Church for their generosity in opening their gymnasium and creating a space where God’s love could be lived out so beautifully.
I woke up this morning filled with excitement, echoing the words of one volunteer who said, “I’m so excited—I love this day.”
After months of planning, God allowed us to have enough resources to fill 450 blessing bags. Even through my small counting mistake with the backpacks, God still provided - Hallelujah! 🙌🏾
Today we experienced meaningful encounters with our unhoused brothers and sisters, who are so deeply and unconditionally loved by God. We went to four different locations in Lexington that included a local major homeless shelter for both men and women; day centers for meals and even the streets of Lexington in the downtown area.
As photos from today’s events are shared, they reflect “ONLY” our volunteers, because we are committed to loving, respecting, and offering dignity to those we serve.
ALL glory and thanks belong to God, and heartfelt gratitude to every volunteer who said “YES” to being the hands and feet of Jesus today.
HALLELUJAH and Glory be to GOD!!! 🙌🏾
