On September 11th (that is THIS SATURDAY), the youth group will be embarking on its next greatest adventure - miniature golfing!  Who will win?  Will it be a youth member, a youth leader, or that random waterway which always carries away even the best of shots?  Only time will tell.  No matter w...

3 quick things:
1. I am praying for you! Keep up the hard, but good work of parenting!

2. The latest parent update video can be found here – https://youtu.be/oSdn2U2-pAQ

Praying for you and with you! Stay sane!!!
Reading plan for Families with Youth for Holy Week: Mark

As we enter Holy Week we join Christians from all over the world who read together as families and communities the story of the last week of Jesus’ life. I would like to encourage you to take just a few minutes each day this week to read the passage together.
As you read, ask each other, “what stands out to you in this story?” and let people make observations. Then ask them, “what do you wonder about in the story?” Enjoy the conversations and be free to not have all the answers. Finally, you can ask, “where do you find yourself in the story?”

Palm Sunday (today): Mark 11:15-26 – the Triumphal Entry
Monday: Mark 11:15-26
Tuesday: Mark 14:1-9
Wednesday: Mark 14:10-11
Thursday: Mark 14:12-26
Friday: Mark 15
Saturday: Prayer together
Sunday: Mark 16

Generations youth and parents... I want to share a few things with you as you continue to quarantine yourselves.

I know times are crazy and people can be going stir-crazy... here are a few resources that might help you (both teens and parents) stay grounded in God and His Word.

1. Reimaging the Examen app - this is a GREAT practice for the end of the day (or really anytime) to help you reflect and stay connected to God. Max mentioned it a few weeks ago and I use it often myself. Available on both itunes and Google play. https://www.ignatianspirituality.com/reimagining-examen-app/

2. The Bible Project has some great resources to stay connected. In youth group we have been reading through the book of Mark together. Can I recommend one evening a week after dinner, trying to read through part of the Mark story together? We had just finished Mark 11:1-11 before the disruption. Here are some resources https://bibleproject.com/explore/mark/ AND
https://bibleproject.com/view-resource/250/

I want you to know that I am praying for you and care about you. If you need anything please reach out... as an extrovert myself even if it is just to talk to SOMEONE different!

Peace, Brian

The Reimagining the Examen app offers a modern take on a 500-year-old prayer, with more than 30 versions of the Examen for your smartphone.
