NEEF’s interactive map allows users to enter their zip code to find events close to home—or wherever they happen to be on National Public Lands Day. Check out their info and see how you can help.
The 30th Annual National Public Lands Day is just around the corner, and over 70,000 volunteers are gearing up to enhance parks, forests, and waterways across the country on September 23rd.
This year's theme, "30 Years of Care and Community," celebrates the event's growth from 700 volunteers to a nationwide initiative involving all 50 states and U.S. territories. Over the past decade, volunteers have contributed nearly five million hours, valued at $133 million!
Events will be held in iconic places like Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and Everglades National Parks. Plus, it's a Fee-Free Day, granting free admission to federal sites managed by participating agencies.
