Mr. Black Presents Our mission is to give artists the resources and opportunities to find and pursue their passions. At Mr. Black Presents we know the opposite to be true.

For a long time many of us in the world of art have been outcasts and weirdos. We have been told that our dreams and creations are stupid and never going to get us anywhere. Each of us is unique and have incredible gits that should be realized not restricted. That is why we (the Mr. Black Presents team) use our artistic gifts, unique talents & professional resources to provide guidance and opportu

nities for young artists to practice their craft. Aside from the charitable side of our organization, we also create our own high quality, immersive events such as , film projects, live theater events, podcasts, themed parties and other attractions.

On August 28 & 29, Mr. Black Presents and Venue 906 invite you to be the live studio audience for Mr. Black Presents: A Very Special Episode. This immersive murder mystery puts you on a TV set as the cast of a popular streaming show records their first live episode. Anything could happen — and someone has plans to make the most of it. Murderously.

In the second installment of our behind-the-scenes set build series, Creative Director Evan Blagec walks through our first look at the completed set pieces before we dive into decorating the space to look like a mashup of different 90s-era sitcom aesthetics.

In this first installment, Creative Director Evan Blagec walks us through the facade walls that form the bones of our modular set build — covering the best practices, the creative standards we hold ourselves to, and what it actually takes to make a set that looks like it belongs on your television screen.

In our latest interview, Mr. Black Presents Creative Director Evan Blagec sits down with actor .lundholm.1 — a veteran of several Mr. Black Presents productions and a familiar face in the area's theatre community through his work in the , and children's theatre workshops and outreach. Rob talks about what theatre means to him personally, how it helped him discover a sense of community, and what it's like to play two characters at once — one "real," one "fake" — in a murder mystery that blurs the line between fact and fiction.

In this interview, Mr. Black Presents Creative Director Evan Blagec talks with Audrey Smith, who has a long history of performing for local theatre groups and, in her role at The Braumart and Dickinson Area Community Foundation, is one of the key people driving important community projects forward in the area.

In Mr. Black Presents: A Very Special Episode, Audrey goes way against type as television producer Vera Mawe, the impatient, imperious studio head who is willing to bend her own already dubious morals to keep the ratings high.
