MORNING FAMILY 🐾❤️

Bravery, most think of heroic acts, running into a burning building or standing fast in a war or conflict. Bravery is so much more

To some ur brave action this morning was getting up, stepping out side and breathing ❤️

The quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty : the quality or state of being brave : courage showing bravery under fire. Your under fire, ur enemy could even be your own heart and mind

Bravery is showing up.

Bravery is saying what you believe in. Out loud. To the people who need to hear it. Even if that person is you.

It's having honest communication with your self, your teams, your communities, your familes

Bravery is saying no when you know you need to. It's saying no to the wrong things so that you can say yes to the right things.

Bravery is having the courage to quit when you know you're on the wrong track, even if hundreds of thousands of people are headed in one direction. It's knowing when the path you are on isn't the one for you. It's taking that scary leap, swimming upstream, or wandering down unfamiliar trails.

Bravery isn’t always fun, macho, or full of gusto. It’s not always done in one big sweep

Bravery is saying something different and showing empathy for our people around the world. It's not jumping to conclusions too quickly. It's remembering what we stand for and believing in the best of us.

Sometimes bravery is remarkable, unfathomable courage by the youngest and oldest of human souls who rush forward to help everyone and put their lives on the line to save others. Those who will speak out when others strength wavers even if they will then take the fall

Sometimes it looks quite peaceful. Sometimes it's shaking off the noise and clamor and distraction and realising with simple focus that your next steps require you to take those steps and walking forward is the best and happiest way forward.

Bravery might not be visible to anyone else at the time that you're being brave. Bravery might be broadcast on national television (but that's not the point

K9 Grim,

It’s not goodbye, it’s until I can see you again.

Today, 9-16-22 at 8:11 AM, K9 Grim was laid to his final rest.

K9 Grim served with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office from 2012-2020. He was a dual purpose narctics and patrol K9, that protected not only myself, but also my family, my blue family, and the community in which we served.

As a handler (and a dog owner in general), this is the day I dreaded the most. We have cried so much over the last week when the decision was made.

Grim, your life was full of love, adventure, and shenanigans. You helped take bad people and drugs off the streets. You protected me and my brothers/sisters while working. You protected Mina, Gunnar and Bruce Wayne while Hyco and I were working after your retirement.

Grim, you are loved. I will miss you forever. A little piece of me is gone now that you aren’t here.

Daddy loves you baby boy, rest easy and take care of Noah, Ben, Nate, Dane and Aaron for us.

H2O + K9 | Military Working Dog Water Confidence Training

The 820th Base Defense Group and 23rd Security Forces Squadron K-9 units recently had the opportunity to conduct water confidence training at Wild Adventures Theme Park. The handlers instructed the military working dogs on water conditioning, aquatic patrol, deep water retrieval, water obstacles, bite work while in water and amphibious Tactical Combat Casualty Care.

It’s equally important for our K9s and Airmen to be prepared for any domain!
