* FFSA is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has no governmental status.

* The purpose of the FFSA is to:
• Support the efforts, programs and mission of the Family Support Center.
• Provide a forum for those interested in supporting military families to contribute to building healthy, resilient military families.
• Sponsor social, recreational,

charitable, humanitarian and supportive activities for the benefit of military and civilian members and their families.

* The organization’s basic philosophy is to meet the immediate needs in an emergency as a step towards a lasting solution to a problem.
