The Albino Beauties in Cayo Largo are getting so big and strong! We can’t wait to celebrate their first Birthday in July!! Although it doesn’t look like we can be there in person, we will have some exciting ideas for everyone to celebrate coming soon!
Thank you for the staff at the sanctuary for their continued work during this very difficult time. There have already been 13 nests moved to the sanctuary for safe hatching. Your hard work is so very important to the preservation and conservation of these species.

This is our first nest in Cayo Largo this year! There are 116 Green Sea turtle eggs excavated and transferred to Centro de Rescate de Tortugas Marinas on April 30th. Hatching should occur June 20th. They are transferred to protect the nest from tides and predators. This will help to ensure the survival of the species. The hatchlings will be released back on their nesting beach. This nest was adopted and named through our charity TurtlesoftheCaribbean.org. More nests are available for adoption and more options to help this very worthy cause are available on our website. Any and all contributions are appreciated! Stay tuned for more updates!!

Mr. Lemuel Pemberton, Senior Marine Resources Officer Charlestown,Nevis
We recently had the opportunity to spend an afternoon with this amazing gentleman and take some much needed supplies for his small group of Sea Turtle volunteers. Aside from his critical job on the island, he leads a small group of volunteers that do amazing work on the island of Nevis for nesting Hawksbill sea turtles.. Please enjoy the video he recorded during our visit.
One of our goals this year is to continue to donate supplies for his small group and fund a Children's Day Camp on the Island.
The education and hands on training of future generations is critical in the success of any and all endangered and threatened species.
Enjoy, and let us know if you would like to be a part of this wonderful program! Contact us @ Turtlesofthecaribbean.org
